TTT # 281| Books From My Past Seasonal TBR Posts That I Still Haven’t Read

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is TTT Rewind, so you can chose a previous TTT and do it again or for the first time. I’m really bad at reading my seasonal TBRs, so I wanted to take a look at those. So this week I’m talking about 10 books from my past seasonal TBR posts that I still haven’t read (out of the 40 books I’ve only read 8).

Chain of Gold – Cassandra Clare

So I’ve added Chain of Gold to a lot of lists to finally read this book, but I still haven’t. The third and final book in this trilogy released in January and that means I can’t use a book not being out yet as an excuse, haha. It’s time for me to dive back into the Shadowhunter world.

The Crown of Gilded Bones – Jennifer L. Armentrout

From Blood and Ash is a book I really loved and I enjoyed the second one as well. I keep getting distracted by other books. I’m quite behind on this series now and it’s my goal to get caught up before we get the next book.

Babel – R.F. Kuang

Babel is a book I actually started reading and I got about 25% in. I was buddyreading this, but my buddy had a hard time with this book and I got distracted. Recently I discovered reading the physical along with the audiobook and I think I want to try that with Babel.

Accidentally Amy – Lynn Painter

Lynn Painter has quickly become one of my favorite authors and I’ve read everything, but Accidentally Amy. I actually got this one for Christmas. It’s a pretty short book and it sounds like one right up my alley.

My Imaginary Mary – Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, & Jodi Meadows

Out of all of these books I think I’m the most surprised I haven’t read My Imaginary Mary yet. These authors are great at giving history a twist and adding some humor. The third book in this trilogy isn’t releasing until 2024, so maybe I’ll save this for a little later in the year.

Magnolia Parks – Jessa Hastings

After the hype of Magnolia Parks I honestly haven’t seen many people talk about the rest of the series. At least not as much as this first book. The fourth book released in December, so I can definitely dive in. I’m still really curious!

Finlay Donovan Knocks ‘Em Dead – Elle Cosimano

One book I did read from my TBRs is Finaly Donovan is Killing It. I ended up loving that book and want to go on more adventures with this character. We have a third book now, so I have a couple to continue with.

The Confidence of Wildflowers – Micalea Smeltzer

Another book I’ve put on quite a few TBRs. This is a duology that also got a lot of hype last summer. In the meantime, I’ve also discovered a couple of other books by Micalea I want to read. Seeing how I own this duology physically I’ll give these a go first.

What If You & Me – Roni Loren

Yes & I Love You was a book that surprised me in a very pleasant way. I loved the two characters and that’s where we met What If You & Me. Andi is a true crime pod-caster and a horror author, but has to fight off some demons of her own. I loved her in the first book and I’m excited she gets her own story.

Carrie Soto is Back – Taylor Jenkins Reid

Carrie Soto is Back is another book I’ve already started reading and I’ve enjoyed what I’ve read so far. I’d say I’m about 100 pages in, so it’s time for me to read the rest of this book. Carrie Soto just about to come out of retirement, so things are going to get interesting.

  1. I’d be quite scared to see how many books from past seasonal TBRs I’ve not read, I think it’s a lot! I always have the best of intentions, but other shiny books not my list distract me 🙂
