It’s time for one of the scariest posts of the month! We’re looking back at our bookhaul from February 2022. What new books did we get that month and which ones did we read? We’re not always the best at actually reading the books we got so this post reminds us of some of those books we were super excited for! Let’s take a look!
Candyce
My February 2022 bookhaul starts with me saying that I got more books than I intended to, so that never seems to be a good start, haha. I ended up with 7 new books. Let’s see what I’ve already read.
Barbarian Alien – Ruby Dixon
Unread
To be honest I’m still on the fence about this book. In March 2022 I actually read Ice Planet Barbarians. While I get that people enjoy it, I’m still not sure alien romance is my things. So I’m still deciding whether to finally sit down and read Barbarian Alien or to just unhaul this one.
It Will End Like This – Kyra Leigh
Read
It Will End Like This was a group read in TBR and Beyond last year and I helped host it. This was a contemporary take on Lizzie Borden and a thriller. I have to say that I flew through this book and read it in one sitting. The short chapters really helped and the story kept me intrigued.
The Reckoning, Shadow Princess, & Cursed Fates – Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti
Read, Read, Currently Reading
As I said last year in my bookhaul, a friend suggested this series and I was intrigued. I flew through book 3 and 4, but I’m currently halfway through Cursed Fates. Let’s just say these authors get you really invested and these books hurt, haha. The 8th book (there will be 9) released in December and I do want to get caught up this year to be ready for the 9th book.
House of Sky and Breath – Sarah J Maas
Read
House of Sky and Breath is a big book and I enjoyed every minute of it! I know some people think it’s long, but I personally enjoyed all of the POVs and plot lines in this book. It’s been almost a year since I read it and that ending still has my mind blown. I’m hoping we find out more about the next book soon.
Girls of Fate and Fury – Natasha Ngan
Read
This is the third and final book in the Girls of Paper and Fire trilogy. I loved all three of these books and Girls of Fate and Fury was a worthy ending for this story. I’m hoping this author gives us more books, because I love how Natasha writes.
End Result
Read: 5/7 – 71%
TBR: 2/7 – 29%
Isabelle
Last year I started off really well in regards of not buying books. So in February 2022 I didn’t get any new books! Later on that year I started sharing the audible audiobooks I got in my bookhauls so I’m sure my part of these posts will get more exciting soon haha.
And that was what we’ve read from our February 2022 bookhauls. How did we (or more specifically Candyce) do? Have you read any of these? Let us know in the comments!
That’s pretty impressive. I haven’t read anything I bought last February.
