We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
I’m currently on a trip to Chicago & NYC. After all that hard work and studying I really needed a fun vacation. I’m super lucky that I get to meet up with friends and this is going to be/already is an amazing trip.
The past few weeks have been incredibly busy, and I’ve been sick as well. Like I said, I needed this vacation haha. There have been some fun things as well though. I have been to a great concert; the Dropkick Murphys played in Amsterdam and it was quite the experience. Right before I left on this trip I had an office party I helped planned. It was a lot of fun and everyone was dressed in the theme they were assigned!
I have two new eARC’s; Court of the Undying Seasons by A.M. Strickland and the one I’m most excited about; the Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi by S.A. Chakraborty.
I’ve been reading a lot lately thanks to audiobooks haha. After finishing The Serpent and the Wings of Night I went on a reread kick and listened to Daisy Jones & the Six and all three All for the Game books in record time. Currently I’m listening to The Burning God, Dial A for Aunties and reading Court of the Undying Seasons. After those I might start my other new eARC!
Daisy Jones & the Six the TV show is releasing this week. And after we got the trailer, we also got the first two songs on Spotify. I’ve loved everything so far and I’m so so so excited for this show to be released.
Who am I? I have actually watched a couple of movies! Can you believe it? Haha. I’ve watched Shotgun Wedding, 10 Things I Hate About You, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Le Mans ’66. They were all really great. And since Drive to Survive season 5 released last Friday, I’ve watched all of that as well.
Once I listened to the Daisy Jones & The Six songs, I couldn’t stop. I really hope we’re getting more songs, as I’ve been loving these a lot.
And that was my Royal Update for the week! I hope you’ve enjoyed it. Have you listened to the Daisy Jones & the Six songs yet? Are you as excited for the tv show as I am? Let me know in the comments!
