All of a sudden I’ve been in a cleaning out frenzy and I’ve gotten rid of bags of clothes that don’t fit or I don’t wear anymore. And I’ve also taken a look at my shelves. There are a bunch of books I don’t think I’m going to ever read. So I’ve decided to do another try a chapter tag with a couple of them. Let’s take a look!

Furthermore – Tahereh Mafi

I adore this cover, it’s so beautiful. And that is the reason it has taken me this long to possibly unhaul the book to be honest. After reading the first chapter though, I just know this one (and it’s sequel) isn’t for me. I know this has gotten great reviews but I don’t connect to the story. The writing style isn’t for me and I’m not interested in knowing more at all. It’s a definite unhaul for me!

Love Letter to the Dead – Ava Dellaira

This book is told in letters so the first ‘chapter’ was actually really short. But it got me debating wether I should actually unhaul this one or give it another try. I’m not big on contemporary books, especially not hard-hitting ones but I enjoy the writing style and the telling through letters. The reviews are very mixed but I might give this one another chance!

Magonia – Maria Dahvana Headley

This one might be the most difficult yet! On the one hand I find the synopsis interesting and seeing that this seems to be quite different from other books is a plus. But I don’t think it’s a coincidence that there is a quote by Neil Gaiman on the cover, the writing style is a little bit similar in my opinion and that is not a writing style I enjoy. And it makes me think I might not enjoy this book simply because I will be annoyed by the writing before long. I keep going back and forth on this one though!

These are 3 books I might unhaul. I think we can conclude I will unhaul Furthermore for sure, I will probably keep Love Letters to the Dead and I’m not sure about Magonia. So maybe share your opinion on that book so I can decide haha. Let me know what I should do!
