TTT #274 | Series I’d Like to Catch Up On

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is a Freebie so I decided to go with series I’d like to catch up on. A little while ago I did a TTT about series I’d like to start and just before that I wrote a post about series I’d like to finish.  Let’s jump in!

1. Witchlands – Susan Dennards
2 books to go

I’ve mentioned these books multiple times, especially Bloodwitch. And I’m a little disappointed I still haven’t read these. I adore the first two books in this series and I have very high hopes for these two. Hopefully I’ll have read them just in time for the release of the last book in the series.

2. American Royals – Katharine McGee
2 books to go

While these books aren’t the best, they are a lot of fun! And looking at the series I was still reading I was reminded of these books. I like Katharine’s writing style for these kinds of books and I definitely want to catch up on this series. Sometimes this is just what you need.

3. Hometown Antihero – Amber Lynn Natusch
1 book to go

These first two books in this series were AMAZING. I loved them a lot and they made it to my favorite lists of those years. This book was promoted to fans of Veronica Mars, one of my absolute favorite tv shows ever. I have very high hopes for this book and I can’t wait for the rest of the series.

4. The Beautiful – Renée Ahdieh
1 book to go

I really enjoy Renée’s books and I enjoy this series a lot. It’s about vampires but it does feel different than most vampire books. The setting is also amazing and the world is about the be expanded in this next book. Can’t wait to dive back in.

5. Saga – Brian K. Vaughan & Fiona Staples
1 volume to go

It’s finally started again! I adore this series and was pretty sad when they went on break. But this space drama is back and I can’t wait to read this volume. After that’s it’s going to be hard waiting on the next one as there is no release date yet but it looks like there will be at least 4 more volumes after this one so that’s exciting!

6. Fence – C.S. Pacat
1 volume to go

All of a sudden there was a new volume! I love this cute, sports graphic novel and I’m very excited to read this one. As with Saga there is no release date for a next volume, I don’t think the next one is even confirmed yet although it does look like this isn’t the end. Let’s hope so!

7. The Murderbot Diaries – Martha Wells
2 books to go

I was so happy there were more instalments announced in this series. The Murderbot diaries are hilarious and I can’t wait to read more about Murderbot. It looks like there will be at least three more and who knows what will come after that!

8. Nevermoor – Jessica Townsend
1 book to go

This one has been on my TBR for way too long now haha. With book 4 coming out this year it’s definitely time to finally read it. I really enjoyed the first two books and I can’t wait to see what these characters have been up to.

9. Mary – Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton & Jodi Meadows
1 book to go

These authors do something magical together! I’ve loved every single one so far and I’m sure I will love this one as well. There’s going to be one more Mary book after this one and I really hope they’ll do another trilogy after that.

10. Monstress – Marjorie M.Liu & Sana Takeda
4 volumes to go

This is such an intricate series. I’ve really enjoyed the first couple of volumes but I do get lost with all the characters sometimes. Some of them look similar or have similar names. It would be great if I could read all 4 of these volumes in one go haha.

This was actually harder than expected! Most of the series I haven’t finished are completed ones, I think these 10 are the only 10 that are still ongoing. They are all great though and I can’t wait to read these books. Which one should I start with? Let me know in the comments!
