Bookish Item | My New Digital Reading Planner

I mentioned something I bought in the shop log of this week’s came across an awesome video on TikTok featuring a digital reading planner. And I just couldn’t resist haha. I looked at a couple more videos, ordered all the stuff I needed and started my 2023 reading planner. Let’s see what I’ve been up to!

Of course I needed my iPad for the digital reading planner. The TikTok user (and seller of the planner) recommended using the Goodnotes app. I downloaded it and it seemed like a pretty good app, easy to use and with a possibility to buy the full version. Another must have was an Apple Pencil. Turns out my iPad is too old for the Apple pencils but I found an alternative online that was also way cheaper. I immediately ordered it and I’m so happy with it. For me it was totally worth the money!

After all of that I ordered the digital reading planner from Etsy. It was super easy since you get the download right after paying. This digital reading planner is amazing! It has over 600 pages and so many different features. Something that pulled me in was the book- and series boards. They are empty spaces, linked to your review, to make a book board for your reads. And since I love being creative but aren’t super handy, this is such a good way to make something cool. I’ve since made a couple of series boards and I’m super happy with them. Here are some screenshots!

I’m having so much fun looking up stuff surrounding my favorite books and I’m very motivated to finish another book so I can make another book board haha. Of course there are options for reviews. Below you can find two screenshots for series reviews I did quickly. The book review pages are the same as the series review pages.

There are some other features I really enjoy like a mood board for the whole reading year. And as you can see in the screenshots there are pages for book challenges like reading 12/24/36/48/75/100 books a year, a wishlist, a page to track your current reads and books that fit with some of your favorite book tropes!

As you can see, this is a great digital planner and I’m having a lot of fun! Now that I have more time for my creative hobby’s I’m planning to use this a lot. I already started using a lot of these pages and I can’t wait to discover more. Do you use a reading planner? And is it digital of physical? What do you think of this one? And do you have any questions? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I had a digital planner last year, but I started in May so I always felt a bit behind. But I did really love it. And this one looks really cool! This year I went back to a physical one.
