WWW Wednesday #30

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish?

A Million to One – Adiba Jaigirdar

A heist on the Titanic? Not something that I’ve read before. A Million to One was an interesting adventure during that journey. I feel like we got to know the characters pretty well, but the pacing of the heist didn’t completely work for me. All in all, a fun book!

All the Dangerous Things – Stacy Willingham

After loving A Flicker in the Dark, I knew I needed All the Dangerous Things. I was able to get an ALC from Libro.fm and it didn’t disappoint. Our main character has experienced every mother’s worst nightmare: her son is kidnapped during the night. This was quite the ride! Every time I started thinking I knew what was going on, the author had me guessing myself by something else that happened. I have to say Stacy Willingham has become an auto-read author!

Take a Bow, Noah Mitchell – Tobias Madden

Even though I’m not a gamer (my boyfriend is), I love reading about characters who love to game. Add an internet romance that kind of becomes real and I was sold. Take a Bow, Noah Mitchell was a fun YA story. It deals with some more serious subjects, but Noah learns a lot about himself in this story.

What are you currently reading?

Dark Fae – Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti

The series Dark Fae is a part of takes place five years before the start of Zodiac Academy. Even though I’m still working on that series, I decided to join a group that wanted to read this one together. So far I’m really enjoying it and I love seeing some names that are now familiar.

Spellslinger – Sebastien de Castell

At the moment, I’m also doing a buddy read of Spellslinger with Ellie – Read to Ramble. What I’ve read so far is really interesting and I can’t wait to learn more about this world and the magic system. I definitely understand why people love these books.

A Long Time Coming – Meghan Quinn

Meghan Quinn is an author I know will make me laugh and that’s the case with A Long Time Coming. It’s clear these two best friends feel more for each other than just friendship. So far I’m loving them and this story! It’s quite a long book, but I have a feeling I’m still going to be sad when it’s over.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Mysteries of Thorn Manor – Margaret Rogerson

When this post comes online I’ll probably actually already be done with Mysteries of Thorn Manor, because I’m writing this one more in advance than normal. After loving Sorcery of Thorns I was thrilled we’re getting a novella in this world. I’m hoping I love it just as much.

Astrid Parker Doesn’t Fail – Ashley Herring Blake

After loving Delilah Green Doesn’t Care last year I’ve been wanting to get my hands on Astrid’s story. It’s time for to finally read Astrid Parker Doesn’t Fail. I’m really hoping I love it as much as Delilah’s story.

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! Have you read anything amazing recently? Or are you loving what you’re reading now? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.

  1. All the Dangerous Things sounds SOO GOOD! I am currently on a thriller BINGE and I can’t get enough. If you find yourself looking for more suspense thriller books for February I just finished “Assumed” by MHR Geer and I couldn’t put it down. It’s a great escape book with a lot of surprises and twists throughout. The main character, Anne, goes to visit her friend Sandy in Saint Martin; summoned very last minute with few details as to why, other than that she’s in trouble. After a day of exploring the island alone and a few text messages Anne never connects with Sandy and soon after she’s found dead. (I Promise these aren’t spoilers lol!) Anne is now the #1 suspect in this murder mystery and she soon finds out she barely knew Sandy at all. She has to prove herself innocent or run forever. This book has it all – excitement, romance, and it makes me want to travel!! You can read more about the book here – https://mhrgeer.com/If you check it out, I would love to know what you think.
