We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
I wrote my last Royal Update a little earlier than normal, so there is quite a bit to talk about. Christmas and New Year were both relaxing and fun. On Christmas day we opened gifts and had a relaxing dinner and movie. The 26th was my boyfriend’s birthday. His parents and sister came over for the day and joined us for dinner. New Year’s Eve was pretty relaxing. We stayed in and played a few board games.
Last week was pretty busy. The boyfriend’s parents came over again on Tuesday, because a delayed birthday gift for my boyfriend arrived. We went and got our booster vaccine on Thursday and that one hit me hard. On Saturday I went to my first in person book club and after that we went to a friend’s house to play a few games.
I’ve added three eARCS to my Kindle since my last Royal Update!
Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: The Becoming of Noah Shaw, Birthday Kisses, If the Fates Allow, Good Girl Dead Girl, A Kingdom of Stars and Shadows, Maggie Moves On, Legends & Lattes, Tis the Season for Revenge, Stolen Heir, Take a Bow Noah Mitchell, and Recursion.
I’m currently reading: Spellslinger, Dark Fae, and All the Dangerous Things.
This week I have a lot of reading plans: Exes and O’s, Cinder, A Million to One, and Mysteries of Thorn Manor.
I have two cover reveals I want to share this week!
After being spoiled for Christmas I haven’t bought anything. I have to get a new wrist brace this week, but that isn’t very interesting, haha.
When listening to a playlist on Spotify I heard a song by James Arthur and really like it. So I decided to listen to the album and I’ve been hooked!
So that’s my Royal Update for this week! How have you been? Have you read or watched anything amazing lately? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
2023 is starting off a bit chaotic, so I’m hoping things calm down soon. I’ll likely have to not read as much, or switch to majority audiobooks to allow for multitasking.
