I was looking for a book tag to do and saw the New Year’s Book Tag I did last year. It was such a fun tag to do and I just wanted to do it again. I think it’s fun to take another look at these questions (and I laughed at some of my answers haha). So let’s jump in!
1. How many books are you planning to read in 2023?
Last week Candyce and I shared our reading goals for 2023, and I finally lowered my reading goal haha. I kept trying to read a 100 books but it just wasn’t in the cards for me these past couple of years. So in 2023 I’m trying to read 52 books. 1 book a week. That’s a little more than I read this year, but I’m hopeful for 2023.
2. Name 5 books that you didn’t get to this past year but want to make a priority in 2023.
I only read one book that I named last year… oops. But I can definitely think of some books I would love to read in 2023. Here we go; The Atlas Six, The Cousins, Before the Coffee Gets Cold, The Hero of Ages and Jade City.
3. What genre do you want to read more of?
Lately I have gone back on an adult mystery kick and I have been enjoying it a lot. So I think I would like to read more of that genre in 2023. I have some unread books on my shelves and I have some unread eARC’s that all fall into that category so it would be great to read those in 2023.
4. Name 3 not-related-to-book goals for 2023.
Once again, I only managed one goal from last year haha. Although I’m very close to reaching another one. So let’s pick 3 new goals for 2023.
1. Buy a house
2. Travel more
3. Make more time for my creative hobbies
5. What’s a book you have had forever and are determined to read?
Dreams of Gods and Monsters! I love the series and I can’t believe I still haven’t finished it. Although there are a lot more series I only have one book to read from… But this is definitely one I should read in 2023. Next month I will have owned this book for 6 years…..
6. One word that you’re hoping 2023 will be.
My word for 2023 is going to be ‘energising’. I hope the year will be energising and filled with experiences that are going to energise me! And this quote will remind me:
And that was my New Year’s Book Tag for this year! It was fun looking at these questions again, maybe I’ll do it again next year haha. What are some books you need to get to in 2023? And do you have any non book related goals? Let me know in the comments!
What a fun tag. Great OLW! may you be energized all year!
Nice Book Suggestion! I Love to Read Them. Happy New Year!
