It’s that time again! The opening round of the Goodreads Choice Awards has been opened and of course I voted. This is not a great contest in setup in my opinion but it’s still fun. And we also thought it would be fun to take a look at some of the categories and see if we’ve read the books. Today I will be taking a look at the fantasy nominees. Let’s jump in!
Not Interested In
First up we got all the books I’m not really interested in, that I haven’t read, aren’t on my TBR and that I might not even have heard off. Maybe I would enjoy some of these but for now I will not be reading these.
“Want to read”
These are books I would like to read at some point, maybe they’re part of a series I’m interested in, maybe they’re on my wishlist, maybe I just added them on Goodreads. But while I haven’t read them yet, I definitely want to read them at some point and hopefully soon!
I actually have an eARC for this one and seeing this list made me realise I have to read this one soon. Somehow I missed the release date for this one but I did mention it in my last Netgalley Next post haha. Maybe this is the nudge to make me pick up this book next!
These are two of the books I have bought this year and are currently on my TBR. I definitely want to read these and it would be great if I manage to read them before the end of the year. One of them I had never heard of before seeing it at the store and the other one has been all over social media so I definitely had heard of haha.
These books I have read this year! They were both anticipated releases and books I loved a lot. I wasn’t surprised seeing them on this list but I did have a hard time deciding which one I should vote for. Both were 5 star reads and I have already thought about rereading them haha.
The Goodreads Choice Awards nominees fall into 5 categories for me, although that does depends on the category of books we look at. Which book do you think I voted for? And what other category would you like to see us take a look at? Let me know in the comments!
