WWW Wednesday #23

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

Marks on the Moon – T.D. Colbert

T.D. Colbert has been an author who has written some of my favorite books. She’s back with Marks on the Moon after a couple of years and I’m so glad she wrote this. Marks on the Moon is an age gap romance with a kind of love triangle and I couldn’t put it down!! Cade & Tess had such an epic romance.

You’re a Mean One, Matthew Prince – Timothy Janovsky

Ever since I heard about You’re a Mean On, Matthew Prince I knew I needed it. I finally listened to the audiobook and I’m glad I did. Matthew is someone who has everything or so it seems. When he does something his parents think is too much he’s sent off to his grandparents. It was interesting seeing Matthew going from being very spoiled to learning what really matters. He grew so much as a character and I loved how he stood up for himself at the end. This was a great holiday read.

Bloodshed – Molly Doyle

So I read the novella Scream for Us last month and Bloodshed is the full length novel for this story. Bloodshed is very dark and disturbing at times, but the characters had me hooked. The ending of the story left me with so many questions! I need the next book.

What are you currently reading?

Kiss Her Once for Me – Alison Cochrun

I’m all Christmas mode, so I needed another holiday read. I’ve heard nothing but great things about Kiss Her Once for Me and I’m loving it so far. Fake dating is one of my favorite tropes even though this one may end a little different than normally, but it fits this story perfectly.

Babel – R.F. Kuang

Babel is a book that’s been all over the place since before it released and it was finally time for me to read it. Ellie from Read to Ramble and I are reading it together. The pacing is a bit slow, but the world is so interesting as well as the characters. I’m excited to see where this goes.

Better Than Fiction – Alexa Martin

At the moment I’m about 20% in to Better Than Fiction and it’s good so far. Our main character has inherited a bookstore from her grandmother, but doesn’t read. Drew is still dealing with the loss of her grandmother and trying to keep the store going. Enter author Jasper who is determined to show her the joy of reading. Drew is such an interesting character. I only wish we got Jasper’s POV as well.

Charming Your Dad – Sarah Blue

Charming Your Dad is a ex-boyfriend’s father romance, but witchy. Haha. There is a lot of supernatural in this story and I love how it started off. Our main character Blair is feisty and I love it. I’m excited to see where this book goes.

What do you think you’ll read next?

The First to Die at the End – Adam Silvera

They Both Die at the End had me in tears, but it was so good. Adam Silvera wrote a prequel in this world and even though I don’t think I’m emotionally ready to read it, I’m too curious not to. This book is over 500 pages, so at least I get some time in this world

Heist – Tate James

Heist is the first book in the next Shadow Grove series and I’m here for it! I’m kind of afraid though, because Tate is known for her cliffhangers and the second book doesn’t release until next May! I’m still going to read it and suffer the wait though, because I love her books.

Heartless Boys Never Kiss – S.J. Sylvis

S.J. Sylvis is back with a new book in the St. Mary’s series and we finally get Tobias’ story. I’ve been so excited for this book and I’ll probably already be reading my e-arc when this comes online.

Maggie Moves On – Lucy Score

Lucy Score is an author I hear nothing but amazing things about, but have yet to read a book from. Maggie Moves On is a newer release and has a house flipping YouTube sensation as a main character. I’m definitely ready for this!

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week? What have you recently read or currently reading? I’m always looking for new recommendations. Let me know in the comments!
