We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

After coming back from camp with the kids I had a week off. Unfortunately I got sick during that week and hardy got to do anything haha. I did sleep a lot so I was pretty much rested when I got back to work last week. However, I’m still not feeling great. Hopefully I’ll feel better soon! I have a lot planned for the coming weeks so keep your fingers crossed for me.

I got one new eARC these past two weeks, I couldn’t resist getting The Library Suicides. It sounds really good and I have been enjoying adult mystery/thrillers a lot lately. Hopefully it’s as good as I think it’ll be!

After finishing The Golden Enclaves it took me a bit to pick up another book. But I did manage to finish Pieces of Her and Killers of a Certain Age. I’m still debating which book I should pick up next, I tried a couple but I’m not really feeling any of them just yet.

I have watched a couple of movies recently, The School for Good and Evil, Enola Holmes 2 and See How They Run were the most recent. They were all great and if you have any recommendations for movies like Enola Holmes and See How They Run I would love to hear it!

To be honest, I have still been listening to Midnights on repeat haha. There are so many amazing songs on the album and I keep hearing new things. Currently my favorites are You’re On Your Own, Kid and Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve, oh and Midnight Rain. But it’s pretty difficult to choose haha.

And that was my Royal Update for the week! It wasn’t super exciting since I have been sick a lot but I’ve read some great books and seen some great movies. So that’s good haha/ How has your week been? Let me know in the comments!
