We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
Last week we went on school camp with my class and the other 3 classes in our year. That’s about 95 kids so you might be able to guess how tired I currently am haha. I slept for 12 hours on Friday night and again on Saturday night. And I’m still tired haha. But it was also a lot of fun and I really enjoyed spending that much time with the kids and forming a stronger bond with them.
The weekend before I had a competition and while I wasn’t completely happy with our performance it was getting better again. And I got a big compliment from the jury, for my first move I got a 10 out of 10 which is pretty unheard of! I usually get a 7 for that, which is already good so a 10 was insane. Just super happy with that and I can’t wait for our next competition.
I got one new eARC, Cruel Illusions. The title sounded interesting and after reading the synopsis I knew I wanted to try this one. Hopefully it will live up to my expectations!
I finished The Good Daughter, Eight Perfect Murders and yesterday I finished The Golden Enclaves. Some great reads and now I have to pick another one. I might actually have a tiny bookhangover after The Golden Enclaves so I’m not sure which book I will pick up next yet.
I have been watching some of the new 2022 shows like The Winchesters, Fire Country, Monarch and So Help Me Todd. So far I’ve enjoyed all of them and I hope they keep getting better and better. Some of them aren’t great yet but I do see potential!
Like basically everyone else I have been listening to Midnights by Taylor Swift. I am loving the new album and keep switching between my favorite song on the album haha.
And that was my royal update for the week! It’s a bit of a shorter one as I’m still so tired haha. But I have been reading some great books and I hope to keep on going with those. So if you have any recommendations for the coming week, I would love to hear them!
That’s great camp went well, but it does sound very tiring. I want to check out So Help Me Todd.
