TTT #259| Series I’d Like to Start

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is favorite words. Once again, this isn’t really a topic for me. In a few weeks when it’s not my TTT there is a topic I think looks like fun. Series I’d Like to Start/Catch up on/Finish are the options and I’m going to go with series I’d like to start. I’ve talked a lot about the series I need and want to catch up on/finish. So let’s take a look!

The Last Hours – Cassandra Clare

I’ve had the first two books of this trilogy on my TBR since both of them released. The third book is releasing in January I believe and it’s time for me to get them read. The Shadowhunter world has been one I’ve loved and I’ve been excited about this spin off of The Infernal Devices.

The Plated Prisoner – Raven Kennedy

The Plated Prisoner is a series I’ve been seeing everywhere! I own the first three books and want to get going. From what I’ve understood this series isn’t always easy to read and gets better and better as it goes. It’s a King Midas retelling.

Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep – Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti

So this is an author duo I know writes great books, because I’m currently reading Zodiac Academy. The only thing that has me hesitant about these books is that it takes place during the pandemic. I’m still not sure if I’m ready to read about those yet.

Spellslinger – Sebastien de Castell

Spellslinger is a series I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about and I already own all six books. I couldn’t resist, because they had sprayed edges. I have a weakness for those, haha. Friends that have read this tell me I need to give it a go.

Green Creek – TJ Klune

After reading The House in the Cerulean Sea I knew I needed to read everything by TJ Klune. Green Creek is an older series, but was recently given a rerelease with new covers. I’ve heard these books are emotional, but amazing.

Tales From Verania – TJ Klune

Like I just said TJ Klune is an author I need to read everything from. Tales From Verania is another series I’ve heard amazing things about. A friend loves the romance and humor, so sign me up!

All of Me – Siobhan Davis

Look at this stunning cover! I’ve heard this book destroys readers, but those tend to be the best stories, haha. It seems to be a second chance, best friends to lovers romance and I love those. Add some angst and I know I’ll be hooked!

WITSEC – Ashley N. Rostek

I’ve been enjoying reverse harem stories and a friend recommended this one to me. This seems to be a very dark story, so I’m not sure what to expect, but I’m curious. Our main character is being stalked if I read the synopsis correctly.

Addicted – Krista Ritchie & Becca Ritchie

Another series I’ve seen everywhere, but still haven’t picked up. I know there are quite a few books and a connected series. So when I start I need to make sure I have time for it. I’ve seen people describe it as a train wreck you can’t stop watching. I love those books.

All Access – Evie Mitchell

As you can tell I’m a big fan of romance, because most of the series I want to read fall into that category. All Access is another one. If I’m honest this really is a cover buy. I’m just so curious about all of these stories.

  1. I find it hard to pick up a series just because I have SO many books I want to read and I’m hesitant to commit lol. But I do want to finish Leigh Bardugo’s series, and Anne Rice’s Vampire chronicles, and also her Mayfair witch series.
