We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

I can’t believe my vacation is already over. I need a vacation again, because the first week of work was rough. You wouldn’t think that a three week break would take you out of your routine as you think.

We did get to do a few fun things the last week. My mother and I went to the beach. It was cold, but we had a nice lunch and time out. The boyfriend and I went to a shopping mall for the afternoon, and we went out to dinner. Even though we were both sick I have to say it was a nice time off. I’ll be counting down the days for the next one, haha.

This week I have one new ARC that I’m really excited about. I’ll be reading Better Than Fiction next month.

Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: Yes & I Love You, You & I Rewritten, Love in the Time of Serial Killers, and Mexican Gothic.

I’m currently reading Cursed Fates, Dark Room Etiquette, A Merry Little Meet Cute, Kingdom of the Cursed, The Do-Over, A Flicker in the Dark and Of Curses and Kisses.

Next I plan on reading Go Hex Yourself, A Kingdom of Flame and Fury, and Hide.

I honestly didn’t keep an eye on bookish news these last two weeks. I’m also getting this post ready earlier than normal, because I won’t be home on Sunday (which is when I normally get my Royal Update ready).

Since my last Royal Update I have a couple of things to add to my shop log. Seeing how I was off work I got to wear nail polish, so I got two autumn colors. And before Riverdale I loved the original Archie comics, so I was excited to find the Funkos of the original Archie and Veronica.

With the release of Hocus Pocus 2 I had to sit down and watch the first movie again. I’ll be watching the sequel soon.

Yes, I know it’s only October, but I’m already in a festive mood, haha. I really like Lindsey Stirling’s music, so when I saw that Snow Waltz was on Spotify I had to give it a listen. This one made me very happy!
