How is it almost October? I feel like I was just thinking about my September TBR. I normally only complete part of my TBR, but I always love talking about the books that I’m in the mood for and hope to read soon. So keep on reading for my October TBR.
Group Reads/Buddy Reads
Go Hex Yourself – Jessica Clare
So Go Hex Yourself is my October swoonalong read. We can’t have Halloween pass by without some type of paranormal read. This story sounds so cute and it has a cat on the cover. That always scores points with me.
Blood Like Fate – Liselle Sambury
As I’m typing this I’m actually reading Blood Like Magic (the first book in this duology). I haven’t read the synopsis for this one, because I don’t want to spoil myself. So far I’m really enjoying the start of this story.
Hide – Kiersten White
I’m definitely a scaredy cat, but I’ve been curious about Hide since it released. When I went to the bookstore last week this one had to come home with me. I can’t imagine participating in a contest in an abandoned amusement park. No, thank you!
ARCs/Blog Tours
Dark Room Etiquette – Robin Roe
I read A List of Cages by this author in 2017 and was really curious when I saw Dark Room Etiquette announced. Our main character is kidnapped, so it’s going to be a hard story to read, but I’m interested to see how the author wrote this story.
Ship Wrecked – Olivia Dade
Spoiler Alert and All the Feels were so much fun, so I was very excited when I saw that I was approved for an e-arc of Ship Wrecked. I’m hoping for another amazing love story filled with humor and all the feels.
All I Want for Christmas – Maggie Knox
Yes, just like last month I have a holiday read on my TBR. The Holiday Swap was such a cute read and I’m excited Maggie Knox is back with another Christmas book. All I Want for Christmas has my favorite trope too: fake dating! I can’t wait to read how all plays out.
Books I Want to Read Soon
The Crown of Gilded Bones & A Shadow in the Ember – Jennifer L. Armentrout
I’m currently a little behind on my reread of the first two books in this series, but I’m currently committed to getting back on track to have all of this series read before the next book releases in November.
Fated Throne – Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti
I’m currently working on Cursed Fates and it’s a roller coaster ride!! I know it’s going to hurt to finish these books, but I’m determined to be ready before the eighth book releases in December.
So as you can see this is a smaller TBR than I normally have. The first nine days of October I still have vacation and I want to give myself a chance to mood read as well. And maybe some spooky Halloween reads. What are you reading in October? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on “all I want for Christmas”, it’s so like my kind of Christmassy read. Good luck with your tbr🥰.
We’re so glad that you’re reading Cursed Fates!
I’m going to try to get to some spooky classics this Halloween.
