This summer my American friend introduced me to Ted Lasso. We started watching a couple of episodes and before I knew it I had watched the whole show. While the show has gotten fairly popular, I haven’t heard that many people talk about it. Today I want to share my thoughts and hopefully get some more people interested ;).
American college football coach Ted Lasso heads to London to manage AFC Richmond, a struggling English Premier League football team.
There are currently two seasons on AppleTV and the third season is actually being filmed right now. So hopefully we’ll get that one at the end of 2022 or early 2023.
Season one has 10 episodes and season two has 12. So there are 22 amazing episodes for you to watch right away haha. They’re about 30 minutes long and you’ll fly through them.
We follow Ted Lasso, an American sports coach who gets hired to lead a London based football team; AFC Richmond. Ted has a different approach to coaching than most coaches do a that makes for an interesting dynamic.
I fell in love with the characters of this show and even changed my mind on some of them. Keeley, Roy and Sam are my absolute favorites but I have a soft spot for most of them. This show does an amazing job with the characters, you get to know more and more of them and you just can’t help to love them.
This show is funny, but also heartfelt. There are a ton of emotional moments and I did shed some tears at some point. I laughed with the characters, cheered for them and like I said, cried with them as well. And I just can’t wait for that third season. Even though I only started watching this about a month or two ago, I’m already impatiently awaiting the next season. I miss these characters and their shenanigans!
This is a fantastic show and I would highly recommend it. Even though you might not be interested in football or sports in general this could still be a show for you. It has a lot of ‘life’ moments and is truly for everyone. Would love to know if you’ve watched it or might be planning on starting it! Let me know in the comments down below!
