We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
The cats have settled down and I’m feeling better thankfully. Thursday the temperatures finally went down a bit, so I took time and finally organized my new shelves. And surprisingly I have about 1,5 bookcases that are still empty. My shelves next to my bed are also still empty. So I finally have lots of room left for new books. I’m so happy with how they turned out.
The boyfriend’s parents and sister are on vacation this week in the same park we went to in March and we went for a visit last weekend. It was great to see them again. The park is amazing, but it was so warm. I’m glad to be home again, haha.
I’ve been pretty good with e-arcs the last two weeks. I added three new books to my Kindle.
Since my last Royal Update I’ve read: Broken Bonds, Just Another Love Song, The Bodyguard, Wrong Place Wrong Time, Savage Bonds, Villainous, Yerba Buena, and Blood Bonds.
I’m currently reading: Does It Hurt? and The Never King.
I have lots of reading plans this week. I’ll be reading: Forced Bonds, Unknown, The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches, and Finlay Donovan Is Killing It.
Honestly, it’s been a pretty busy couple of weeks that have also been warm, so I haven’t spent a lot of time looking for bookish news. I’ll try to keep an eye out the next couple of weeks.
I don’t have anything to add to my shop log for this week.
We have a weekly movie night at home on Sunday and the last one we watched was Minions: The Rise of Gru. Minions movies have been some of my favorites, so I had to watch this. Another lighthearted movie that made me laugh.
I saw on Facebook recently that Backstreet Boys’ first album was celebrating its 25th anniversary. This made me feel pretty old, haha. They were my first concert when I was 10. So of course, I had to listen to this album again.
So that’s my Royal Update for this week! How have you been? Have you read anything amazing? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
The bookshelves look amazing!
