WWW Wednesday #18

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

Broken Bonds & Savage Bonds – J. Bree

The Bonds That Tie series is one I’ve been seeing everywhere on bookstagram. A few of my friends are obsessed with it and I had to give it a go. I flew through Broken Bonds and couldn’t put Savage Bonds down. And the ending of Savage Bonds!! I didn’t see that coming. I’m afraid to keep reading at this pace, because the final book isn’t available until September.

The Bodyguard – Katherine Center

I’ve never read a bodyguard romance, but this one was so good! And the female main character was the bodyguard. The Bodyguard made me laugh and cry and I really enjoyed it! I definitely want to read more by this author.

Wrong Place Wrong Time – Gillian McAllister

The premise of Wrong Place Wrong Time really caught my attention. A mother sees her son kill someone in front of their house and ends up reliving the day to maybe change the events. Wrong Place Wrong Time ends up taking a turn I wasn’t expecting. And even though the story kept my attention it’s not my favorite thriller.

What are you currently reading?

Villainous – Art Sapphire

Dark romance is something I’ve been giving a go this year and discovering what I like to read and what doesn’t work for me. Villainous is definitely a lot darker than most books I’ve read, but I’m hooked. The characters are interesting and keep my attention. There are certain things that aren’t easy to read, so definitely check the list of triggers the author gives before picking up this book.

Blood Bonds – J. Bree

As I said Savage Bonds ended in a major reveal!! So of course I have to continue reading and see how Oleander’s story continues. I’m really hoping we get more POVs, because I want more from the guys in this story.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I have quite a few books I need/want to read in the next week. Between ARCs and some buddyreads I’m definitely keeping myself busy, haha.

Does It Hurt? -H.D. Carlton

Does It Hurt? is a book I’ve been seeing everywhere on bookstagram since it released and I honestly don’t know much about this book. I only know it’s quite the ride. This is a weekly read in a book club I’m in, so I’m just going to dive in.

Boyfriend Material – Alexis Hall

Boyfriend Material is a book I actually started awhile ago, but you know me I get easily distracted, haha. I know I did love what I read, so I’m excited to read more. Husband Material, the next book in the series, is out now, so it’s time to continue!

Carrie Soto is Back – Taylor Jenkins Reid

Carrie Soto is Back releases in a couple of weeks and I’ve been wanting to read it since I got my e-arc, but haven’t had the chance. This week it’s finally time though. I’m hoping to love it as much as I have other books by this author.

With Fire in Their Blood – Kat Delacorte

With Fire in Their Blood seems to be a dark fantasy book that I need in my life. I read the synopsis before signing up for the blog tour and I’m excited to start. From what I understand after reading a few reviews from other readers is that this book sucks you in and doesn’t let you go.

The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches – Sangu Mandanna

The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches is another book I’m reading for a blog tour and I have a feeling this book is going to leave me warm and fuzzy. Books with witches and feel good moments are something I’ll always sign up for. And look at this stunning cover!

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week. What have you been reading or do you plan to read soon? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
