We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

I’m currently on vacation, finally! Before that I spend some time working on these pesky assignments I still had to hand in. I also spend some time with friends and went to the wedding of one of my friends. It was lovely seeing her so happy and we had a really fun time during the party.

Last week I flew to the USA to visit a friend (and we’re having her bachelorette next week). The first part of the journey was awful, both of my international trains got canceled but luckily by brother managed to get me to Brussels were I was able to get some other trains and make it to the airport just in time. My flight was pretty good, and by now I’ve had my first week here in Minnesota.

This first week was mostly spend relaxing, reading, writing some blogposts and finishing up an assignment. I also got to spend time with my friend and her family who I love dearly. It’s a lot of fun being back her and I’m enjoying some very American things.

Once again I have a lot of new eARC’s. This is doing nothing for my Netgalley rating unfortunately haha. But I have added Lost in the Moment and Found, A Day of Fallen Night, I’m the Girl, Arch-Conspirator, Queen Among the Dead, Killers of a Certain Age, The Lies We Tell, and Dark Tides to my kindle.

I’ve finished The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Three Kisses One Midnight and You’re Invited. Three very enjoyable reads and a good way to finish two eARC’s right away. I’m not completely sure what I’ll pick up next, I have so many great books waiting to be picked up. At the moment I’m listening to A Master of Djinn and reading Lost In The Moment and Found.

Sarah J. Maas announced new UK and US covers for the Throne of Glass series so of course I had to share that here. I like them and I still don’t have a complete set with the same cover so I might get these but I’m not sure yet haha.

Since I’m in the States, I have some different shows on Netflix etc. So I decided to finally pick Legacies back up and finish that show. I adored The Vampire Diaries and The Originals so of course I had to watch Legacies. While it doesn’t live up the other shows, I do think it’s enjoyable. I’m just glad I’m close to finishing it, I couldn’t leave it in the middle of the show haha.

Since we were going to a Brandi Carlile concert, I of course had to listen to her songs! So this past week I’ve listening to her recent albums and her top songs. I really enjoy her music and I’m so glad I’ve been introduced to her.

And that was my Royal Update! Next time will be the end of my trip, hopefully I get to enjoy the next two weeks to the fullest. How are you spending your summer? Let me know in the comments!
