We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

My first week off work was spent resting haha. I also worked on one of my assignments and got quite far even though I’m not completely done yet. Apart from resting and studying I also had some fun times. Last week I had a bachelorette party from a friend, a lot of fun with games, food, music and spending time together. This past weekend I went to a concert, my friend and I saw Ed Sheeran in Amsterdam. It was great, I love his songs and it was an incredible night. On Saturday we went to The Zwarte Cross. It’s a really big festival in the Netherlands, it’s something that attracts a lot of farmers but it’s for anyone that wants to go. There is motorcross, a lot of music and a lot of fun stuff. We went for the Saturday and stayed camping so we could go home of Sunday. Quite some of our friends were there as well so we had a great time!

Quite some new eARC’s this time haha. You’re Invited, Even Though I Knew the End, All of Our Demise, Book of Night, Never Ever Getting Back Together, A Prayer for the Crown-Shy, High Times in the Low Parliament and The Two Doctors Gorski. I’m super excited for these and I’m not sure what to read first haha. And last time I forgot that I also got Heat Wave, Three Kisses One Midnight and Venomous Lumpsucker.

I’ve finished Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Gone Dark and Even Though I Knew the End. Not as many as I would’ve liked but I’m still happy with it, it’s about to be my best reading month of the year. I’m currently reading You’re Invited and High Times in the Low Parliament. And of course I’m listening to Harry Potter #5, it’s my current go to audiobook before sleep. I’m not sure which books I’m picking up next, but you can expect a bookish item on what I’m bringing on my vacation this week!

There was one cover release that caught my eye, I immediately added Tell Me What Really Happened to my Goodreads.

I watched Only Murders In The Building, Black Bird and La Noche Mas Larga. They are all highly entertaining and I can’t wait for the new episodes of Only Murders and Black Bird.

Imagine Dragons released a new album, the first songs are from Mercury Act 1 but the last 17 (!) songs are from Mercury Act 2. So you can probably imagine what I’ve been doing all day long haha. I adore Imagine Dragons and there are some true gems on this new album. It will take me a while to figure out my favorite song from the album, I hope to share that next time ;).
