Tag | The Summer Bucket List Book Tag 2022

Since I finally have my summer break, I decided it was time to do a summer book tag. Candyce did this tag before and I thought it would be fun to do this one as well. It’s the Summer Bucket List Book Tag and was created by Tiffany from Read By Tiffany. There are 10 prompts, so let’s jump in!

The Rules
  • Link back to the original creator in your post.
  • Feel free to use any of the graphics in your post, or create your own!
  • Tag 5 other people at the end of your post, and let them know you’ve tagged them.

I haven’t read this one yet, but did read the first two chapters and it takes place at a summer naval camp. So it is definitely set by the water. I loved Hannah Capin’s Foul Is Fair so I have high hopes for this one. It’s a shame I haven’t read this one yet, I need to get on that soon!

The romance in the Folk of the Air series by Holly Black is pretty firey I would say! Enemies, lovers, maybe still enemies… I really enjoyed reading this story haha. Sure, it was not perfect but it was very enjoyable and that’s my main reason for reading 😉

The whole wayward children series is all about journeys! It about kids who’ve travelled through doors to other worlds but are back in ours. Every story has some kind of journey in it so this is perfect. They’re novellas so you fly through them!

I think this is a pretty broad prompt, and I could go with all kinds of book haha. But I think I will go with The Last Graduate by Naomi Novik. I adored this book, love this brutal world and the ending had me screaming! The sequel is one of my most anticipated release of 2022 and I just can’t wait to read it.

One book I couldn’t put down was A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder! I loved that YA mystery and I can’t believe I still haven’t read the last book in the series even though I’ve had it since it was released. Hopefully this summer ;).

I’m not a big romance reader but one romance I really liked was the one in Perfect on Paper. Since then Sophie Gonzales has become a favorite contemporary author of mine. I definitely plan on picking up her next book as soon as I comes out. And I might go back and read some of her previous work as well.

My Lady Jane, the first book by the ‘Janies’ was such a breath of fresh air! It was nothing like any book I’d read before. I love the humor in it, the way they rewrite history and all of that with a nice plot and fun characters as well.

Basically every fantasy story haha. I’ve decided to with a science-fiction one! Project Hail Mary sees Ryland overcome multiple obstacles. It starts with his memory loss but over the course of the story there are a lot more obstacles. I really enjoyed this story and it reminded me I want to read more sci-fi stories.

Whenever I see a prompt about a book that features food I immediately think of The Wrath and the Dawn. I really liked the descriptions in this book and would love to have a platter of that food in front of me right now.

This is a pretty difficult prompt, but the book that came to mind was Slay by Brittney Morris. I loved this book so much and would recommend it to everyone. It was a super fast read for me, I flew through it. I loved the characters, the concept, the message. Simply an amazing read!

And that was the Summer Bucket List Book tag! I really enjoyed these prompts and hope you did too. If you want to do the tag, feel free. I’m not tagging anyone specifically, but would love to see your answers so please tag us!
