We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Most Anticipated Books Releasing In the Second Half of 2022. I love talking about my most anticipated releases and had a couple that immediately came to mind for this list. Let’s see which 10 I picked!
10. Saga vol. 10 – Brian K. Vaughan & Fiona Staples
October 11th
They’re back!!! I have been waiting for this newest volume for about 4 years now and I’m so happy it’s almost here. Maybe I’ll reread the whole series before then to have all the details fresh in my mind. Although I’ve never forgotten that last scene…..
9. All Good People Here – Ashley Flowers
August 16th
I love Ashley Flowers’ podcast CrimeJunkie and listen to it every single week. She has a lovely way of telling a story so of course I am super excited to see what she can do with a original story.
8. Babel – R.F. Kuang
August 23rd
While I’ve only read the first book in the Poppy War series so far, I was blown away. I’m ashamed that I haven’t read the rest yet as I’ve had them all for a while now, even have the eARC’s. But I have been looking forward to this story ever since I has been announced. It has a lot of elements I enjoy so I have high hopes.
7. The Society for Soulless Girls – Laura Steven
July 7th
I’m currently reading my eARC for this one and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. Laura is a great writer and she deserves so much more attention. I really hope this release gets her the attention it deserves. It’s a dark academia story with queer main characters so I have high hopes!
6. The First to Die At the End – Adam Silvera
October 4th
They Both Die At the End was an incredible tearjerker with a cool premise. So I was excited to see the announcement for The First to Die At the End. This is a prequel and I just saw a TikTok on Adam’s account that promised Rufus and Matteo will make an appearance.
5. Carrie Soto is Back – Taylor Jenkins Reid
August 30th
I’ve talked about this one before, I also have an eARC I should pickup soon. Taylor Jenkins Reid wrote some amazing books (I can’t wait for the adaptations!) and I have high hopes for this one. I really enjoy having sports as part of a story, so while I don’t really know anything about tennis I can’t wait to read about it haha.
4. My Imaginary Mary – Cynthia Hand, Jodi Meadows & Brodi Ashton
August 2nd
The Lady Janies write such fun books, so while we’re not reading about Janies anymore but Maries now I’m sure it will be great. This time it’s about Mary Shelley and I can’t wait to see what they did with her story.
3. All of Our Demise – Amanda Foody & Christine Lynn Herman
August 30th
All Of Us Villains was one of my favorite books last year so you probably aren’t surprised this one is as high up here as it is. This will be the conclusion to the duology and I can’t wait to see how it end. Who will survive?! I’m not even sure I know who I’m rooting for haha.
2. The Final Gambit – Jennifer Lynn Barnes
August 30th
Another sequel to a 2021 favorite! And a 2020 favorite not to forget. This is the final book in the Inheritance Games trilogy and I can’t wait to find out how it all ends. I have been a fan of Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ work for years now and I’m happy to see she got more recognition because of this series. Would still recommend checking out her previous work!
1.The Golden Enclaves – Naomi Novik
September 27th
Probably my number one anticipated releases of the year! I love this series so much and after the ending of the second book I was screaming for The Golden Enclaves. Hopefully I can get my hands on an eARC, otherwise I’ll probably get this on release day haha. I have said that before but I just can’t imagine not reading this as soon as it releases haha.
And those are my 10 most anticipated releases for the second half of 2022. A lot of these are probably in my overall most anticipated list to be honest. I have high hopes for these books and can’t wait to read them! Did any of these make your list? Tell me about it in the comments!
A great looking list! I have ordered Carrie Soto is Bck for christmas. I haven’t read any of her other books, so need to make a start at some point!
Have a great week!

Haha, I’m not surprised by that at all!!
I have been tempted to pick up the individual issues of Saga, since it’s been so long, but I do like having the longer trades so I can get sucked it. I’m looking forward to The Society for Soulless Girls and The Golden Enclaves too.

Yeah that is tempting for sure, but I hate how fast I read those haha. Happy to see The Society for Soulless Girls and The Golden Enclaves getting some love <3
flail Oh my gosh, there’s another Saga book finally coming out?! I can’t wait! I’m also excited for All of Our Demise and The Final Gambit. I still need to start reading the Mary series, but I’m hoping to do that this month so I can hopefully continue it when the next book releases. 😀 Hope you get to read all of these!

Great list! I’ve heard so many wonderful things about Saga. I really need to try it!
This is the perfect time to get started!!
One of these days, I’ll read Inheritance Games. I was so excited to pick up a copy last summer; I haven’t touched it since.
I’m excited for you to experience it for the first time! And this way you can read all three in one go 😉
Babel and The Society For Soulless Girls were both on my list this week too.
