It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!
So it’s time for the first WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What did you recently finish reading?
Boys of Brayshaw High – Meagan Brandy
Unfortunately, Boys of Brayshaw High was a DNF for me a little after 30%. This makes me sad, because I loved Say You Swear!! I’m not sure if it was just my mood, but I just wasn’t clicking with this book at the moment.
I Kissed Shara Wheeler – Casey McQuiston
Casey McQuiston writes books that I really enjoy. I have to say that I was surprised a certain event took place earlier than I expected, so it was interesting to see where this went. I Kissed Shara Wheeler definitely isn’t your typical contemporary book.
With You Forever – Chloe Liese
I’ve been mentioning this series quite often the last few weeks and I’ve been loving them all. With You Forever was another book with great representation. Chloe Liese writes amazing characters and romances and I’m definitely going to be revisiting this series.
What are you currently reading?
Girl in Pieces – Kathleen Glasgow
I’ve decided to do author spotlights every month now for authors I’ve never read before, but own multiple books written by them. Kathleen Glasgow is the first author. I’m a little late starting these, but Girl in Pieces is definitely written in a different way than I’m used to. This book doesn’t really have chapters, but different fragments/moments with the main character. I’m definitely curious to see where this goes.
Everything for You – Chloe Liese
Like I just mentioned, I’m loving the Bergman Brothers series and I’m currently listening to the last book available. Everything for You has me laughing, wanting to hug the characters, and it’s a bit spicy. I’ll be sad when I’m done and have to wait for the next book.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Nyxia – Scott Reintgen
Nyxia is a book that’s been on my shelf for a very long time. Science fiction is a genre I’ve been wanting to read more of, so it’s time to read this one. A friend and I are doing a buddy read and I’m hoping I love this one, because it sounds amazing!
The Dead Romantics – Ashley Poston
The Dead Romantics is a book I’ve been curious about since the author announced this book. I’ve read a couple of Ashley Poston’s YA books, but this is the first adult romance by this author. A ghost writer that has to deal with actual ghosts. I have a feeling this book is going to be amazing.
Ugly Truths – Blake Blessing
A couple of weeks ago I read Pretty Lies and thought it was a great start of a new series. Next is Ugly Truths and I’m curious to see how Astrid and her boys are doing and what’s next!
So that’s what I recently read, I’m currently reading, and plan on reading next. Have you read any of the books I’ve talked about? What are your answers to these questions? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you!
Too bad you had to DNF a book, although it’s never easy for me, I feel like it’s even worse when it’s an author you previously enjoyed reading. I’m so intrigued by your feedback on I Kissed Shara Wheeler. And I’ve officially moved Chloe Liese’s series up my TBR. Hope you enjoy your current reads.
