We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

Two very busy weeks, but also filled with a lot of exciting things. In the first week I had 2 concerts, a festival and a birthday surprise party. The first concert was on Thursday and was quite the experience haha, my best friend and I went to see a Duch rapper. Not our usual music but we had a lot of fun! After about 4 hours of sleep I had to go to work and we had a schooltrip so that was pretty tiring haha. That night I went to my second concert, I saw the Script for the third time. And once again they were amazing and reminded me why they’re one of my favorite bands ever. Saturday I went to a festival with friends, saw some amazing Dutch artists and had a really fun day. And on Sunday we surprised a friend of ours for her 30th birthday. We had a picknick and since she likes to be creative we got tote bags for all of us to embroider. Such a fun day!

Last week I had my practical exam. I was extremely nervous all day and it didn’t completely go to my liking. The examinator was really strict and didn’t go easy on me at all haha. But I did pass! Not with a great grade so I was a bit disappointed, but in the end all that counts is that I did pass. Later that week one of my colleagues got married and we also had a ceremony at school for the class we both teach so that was a lot of fun. And right after school I went to the official ceremony and to the party that night. Friday I had dinner with friends and this weekend I just had to relax and recharge haha.

I caved and got another eARC haha. Foul Lady Fortune by Chloe Gong was just irresistible, but that also means I need to read the original duology, These Violent Delights and Our Violent Ends first. I know what I’ll be doing this summer haha.

I finished two books these past weeks, We’ll Always Have Summer and The Midnight Orchestra. It was good to finish the Summer series but I have to say, I wasn’t a big fan. I did really like The Midnight Orchestra though and we better get a third book!

I started watching First Kill last week and really enjoyed it! Just two more episodes and I’m finished. Hopefully we’ll get a second season. This weekend I also started watching The Summer I Turned Pretty. I only watched the first two episodes but it looks like they changed a couple of things. Excited to see how I’ll enjoy the tv show compared to the books.

Maybe it’s the hot weather but I’ve been listening to the In The Heights soundtrack non stop. I really want to rewatch the movie as well, maybe I’ll have time somewhere this week….
