It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!
So itβs time for the first WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think youβll read next?
What did you recently finish reading?
Say You Swear – Meagan Brandy
Say You Swear was all over bookstagram and BookTok, so I became really curious. I ended up reading this one as a buddyread with a friend. I loved this one so much!! It’s 600 pages, but did not feel so at all. I’ll be reading more by this author.
The Spanish Love Deception – Elena Armas
The Spanish Love Deception is a very hyped book, so I was a little hesitant going in. I did end up enjoying this one, but for me it would’ve been more fun with a dual POV. I really missed Aaron’s side of the story.
Extasia – Claire Legrand
I’m normally not a horror reader, but Extasia is a book that caught my attention. This book is almost 500 pages, but I flew through it. It definitely went a lot different than expected, but definitely made me want to read some more horror. I do wish we got a bit more information about the magic though.
What are you currently reading?
Twisted Heartbreak – N. Isabelle Blanco
Lately I’ve been giving dark romances a try, so when I saw the sign up for Twisted Heartbreak I had to give it a chance. At the moment I’m about 40% in, but I’m not really sure what to think. There is a certain aspect that kind of threw me and felt a bit out of place. I do want to see how it ends though.
Dating Dr. Dil – Nisha Sharma
Dating Dr. Dil is my commute audiobook and for a discussion this weekend. I’m loving this book so much. I’ve laughed out loud quite a few times and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out. Yesterday I got the paperback. I don’t have to work all of my hours this week, so I won’t listen to the whole book, but I wanted to finish reading it anyways.
Shadow Princess – Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti
I actually started reading Shadow Princess in March, but have gotten distracted by ARCs and other reads that needed to get done. I’ve decided I need to make this one a priority again, so I even got the e-book to read when I have a moment here and there.
The Diviners – Libba Bray
The Diviners is a book I read the summer of 2020 and really enjoyed the magic of this world and the 1920s. Together with two others I host a series read and we chose The Diviners for our next series to get through. It’s been such a long time I need a refresher, so started my reread. I’m loving it all over again.
What do you think you’ll read next?
The Carnival of Ash – Tom Beckerlegge
The Carnival of Ash is a book that sounds amazing. A city full or libraries and run by poets! How amazing does that sound? I’ve read some amazing reviews and I’m participating in the blog tour, so my review will be up soon.
The Comic Con – Dee Lagasse
How could I say no to a book with a female comic book artist?!? I just couldn’t. The Comic Con has our main character’s story being adapted and apparently she has quite a bit to say about the actor playing the lead character. I just have a feeling this is going to be amazing.
Set On You – Amy Lea
Set On You has a curvy fitness influencer trying to prove all stereotypes wrong. Then comes a firefighter and they fight for gym domination. I have a feeling the tension is going to be jumping off the pages and I’m excited to give this a read.
See You Yesterday – Rachel Lynn Solomon
Rachel Lynn Solomon is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine. See You Yesterday is her next YA release that has a Groundhog Day vibe. Our main character repeats her first day of college over and over again with her nemesis. This is going to be interesting.
So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week. Have you read anything I talked about in this post? If not, what are you currently reading? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
