We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
Let’s say that going back to work after a couple weeks of vacation is rough, haha. I was definitely feeling it at the end of my first week back. So it was a pretty relaxing weekend and other than working I haven’t done much. We started out April with some snow after it being sunny and warm. Definitely a shock. It’s all gone now, but it’s still chilly.
Other than that we were at the boyfriend’s parent’s house this weekend to go to his grandfather’s birthday. It’s not around the corner, so we stayed the night. It was nice to see his family again.
I added four e-arcs to add to my Kindle since my last Royal Update.
Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: Sweetest in the Gale, Stuck with You, Gouda Friends, Liar, House of Sky and Breath, and The Viscount Who Loved Me.
I’m currently reading: Fake, Only a Monster, Court, and The Bennet Women.
This week I plan on reading: Those Three Little Words, Gilded, Man Down, Dreadwood, and The Words.
There are two cover reveals that I want to share. I know we’re still ways away from Christmas, but I’ve already started seeing some Christmas books being promoted. And I love Christmas! Look at how cute these covers are.
Nothing to add yet to my shopping log. I may have something to add next time! So keep an eye out.
Since last time I started and finished the season of Is This Cake? on Netflix. It’s amazing to see what people can actually make with cake. I had a great time trying to guess what was real and what was actually cake.
My mother recently saw someone post a video of No Resolve on Facebook. It sounded pretty good and when I saw they did covers of a few songs I enjoy I was curious. The music is a bit harder than what I normally listen to, but I have to say I enjoy their music.
So that’s it for my Royal Update this week! How have you been? Read or watch anything amazing I need to read or watch? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
Sounds like you had a great week ❤️
Is It Cake? looks like a fun show! some people are so talented.
