WWW Wednesday #5

I never thought I’d like writing reading updates as much as I do, so it’s definitely something I’ll be doing every other week. I can’t believe it’s already been two weeks!

So it’s time for the first WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

Hate & Liar – Tate James

Tate James is an author I’ve been seeing everywhere and especially on TikTok. A few friends on bookstagram love her books as well, so I had to give them a go. And Hate and Liar were such pleasant surprises. The story is addicting, the characters are amazing, and the romance is steamy. This is my first reverse harem and let’s say things get interesting.

Flock – Kate Stewart

Another book that is all over TikTok is Flock. No one seems to know what it’s about and no one really tells you either. So I basically went in blank. Flock is dark but addicting and also nothing like what I was expecting. I definitely plan on reading the next book.

Gouda Friends – Cathy Yardley

This rom-com is one I saw had a blog tour sign up and I love how cute this cover is! Gouda Friends is a friends to lovers romance filled with lots of humor and amazing characters. I definitely plan on going back to read the first book in this series.

What are you currently reading?

House of Sky and Breath – Sarah J Maas

House of Sky and Breath is a book I’ve been reading since March 1st and I should be finishing in the next few days. This book has been such an emotional roller coaster and I’m afraid of the ending. So many people seem to be shocked and this definitely scares me. Especially because we don’t know when the next book will arrive.

Court – Tracy Wolff

Court has been on my TBR for the last two months, but I finally started my buddy read last week after re-reading Covet. I’m already really sucked in and there have been quite a few things that have been shocking. It’s definitely one that has me really curious, because I have no clue how this is going to play out!

The Viscout Who Loved Me – Julia Quinn

The Viscount Who Loved Me is the second book in the Bridgerton series and I decided to give the audiobook before watching the new season of the show on Netflix. I’m about a third in and I’m enjoying it so far!

Shadow Princess – Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti

Zodiac Academy is such an addicting series and the only reason I haven’t finished Shadow Princess yet is because I had a few books I needed to read before this one. From what I’ve heard this book is really painful, so I’m scared. But I need to get this and the next one done, so a friend and I can buddyread the last two books out right now.

Fake – Tate James

Seeing how I recently finished the first two books in this series I couldn’t resist starting Fake. I’m only five chapters in, but I’m already hooked. There’s only one more book left after Fake and I’m already sad I’m almost done.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Those Three Little Words – Meghan Quinn

Sport romance, accidental pregnancy, and best friend sister romance? Yes, please. Meghan Quinn is an author that writes amazing stories and has made me laugh a lot in the past. I was so excited to receive an e-arc of Those Three Little Words that releases April 5th, so keep an eye on my review.

Gilded – Marissa Meyer

After finishing House of Sky and Breath a friend and I already decided to start Gilded. This is a book I received for Christmas and is a Rumpelstiltskin retelling. I’ve never read one of those, so I’m very excited.

Gone Dark – Amanda Panitch

I’ve recently posted about Gone Dark a few times and I’m so looking forward to this story. When an attack on the power grid turns the US off things are going to get interesting. I can’t imagine how chaotic this is going to get.

So that’s what I recently read, I’m currently reading, and plan to read next. What are you currently reading? Or have you read any amazing books recently I need to know about? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
