Show Sunday | HBO Max Watchlist – Movies

Last week I shared the tv shows I have on my HBO Max to watch list. It was a lot of fun looking through all the shows they have available! Today I want to share the movies that made it onto my to watch list. There will be a lot of rewatches as I saw some amazing (older) movies I love. Of course there will also be more than enough movies I haven’t seen yet. So let’s jump in and take a look!

The Accountant

I planned on watching this one in the movie theater when it released but it never came of it. And I just never watched it after either. Happy that I have the chance now, can’t wait to see if it lives up to my expectations!

Two amazing actors and an interesting concept! I’m not totally sure what to expect of this movie but I think it might be something I’ll really enjoy. My expectations are all over the place haha, so it’ll be interesting to see how I’ll like it.

J. Edgar

Having Leo in it means I’m automatically interested to be honest haha. But I’m also very curious about this story. I don’t know if it’s actually historically correct but I’m sure the overall story will be true to the facts (or so I hope haha).

The Great Gatsby

Another Leo movie haha. I can’t believe I never watched this movie! After all these years I do feel like I know how the story goes already but I’m excited to see it play out on the screen. I’m expecting some beautiful visuals!

I think I really need to be in the right mood to watch this one. But you can bet I will watch it at some point. The story sounds interesting and I’ve heard amazing things about it. I do enjoy watching war movies but like I said, you need to be in the right mood and I think for now it’ll be a bit too depressing and a bit too real.

Horrible Bosses

It’s been over 10 years since this movie was released and I still haven’t watched it. The trailer looked hilarious and I remember wanting to watch it when it first came out. And now I finally will haha.

How have I not watched this one?! I loved the trailer and it sounds like such a me-movie. This might be one of the first one’s I’ll be watching and I can’t wait to shower it with love.

Judas and the Black Messiah

The trailer for this one looked so so so good and I need to watch it as soon as possible. I have seen really good reviews so I have very high hopes for it.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League

I generally really like superhero movies. DC movies aren’t my favourite (although their tv shows are awesome) but I do want to watch this one. Since this movie is insanely long (4 hours!!!) it might take me a while to sit down and watch it haha.

I won’t comment on these movies as I will just be I loved this one, can’t wait to rewatch is and see if I still love it over and over again haha.

The Town | The Departed | American History X | Gangster Squad | In The Heights | Sherlock Holmes | Dune

Did any of your favorite movies make it to my list? Which movie should I watch first? And do you have more HBO Max recommendations? Let me know in the comments down below!

  1. Dunkirk definitely is a great movie with lots of amazing actors in it. But I do agree. You have to be in the right mindset starting it.

  2. Great post, I’ve only seen The Great Gatsby from this list but I really enjoyed it. I hope you have fun watching and rewatching all of these! xx
