Royal Update #116

We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

These past two weeks have been so relaxing! The first week of my vacation the boyfriend and I went away for a week at a cabin together. We got a free upgrade to a bigger house, so we had a house for six for just the two of us! The weather was sunny, but cold. It was nice to relax and just have some quality time with the two of us.

The second week we just hung around the house. It was nice to have some downtime outside of work. We both have to work again tomorrow and it’s going to be rough! Haha. I’ll definitely be looking forward to my next planned vacation!

Since my last Royal Update I’ve added 4 new e-arcs to my Kindle!

Since my last Royal Update I’ve finished 9 books: It Will End Like This, Covet (re-read), Ice Planet Barbarians, Sweet Girl, The Reckoning, All Systems Red, Girls of Fate and Fury, Flock, and Hate.

I’m currently reading House of Sky and Breath, Shadow Princess, The Deal, and Love and Other Words.

This week I’ll be reading Gouda Friends, King of Battle and Blood, Court, Liar, and The Wolves are Waiting.

There were two cover reveals this week that made me very happy! I love Olivia Dade and Adam Silvera’s They Both Die at the End broke me, but I loved that book. I definitely want both of these books.

Okay, so I didn’t but these myself, so they’re technically not something for this shop log, but I wanted to show what I got. My boyfriend’s parents got me these wooden letters to use for bookstagram and I’m excited!

I’ve been pretty productive when it comes to shows and movies, haha. During out two weeks off the boyfriend and I binge watched the third season of Sex Education. I really love that show. We’ve also finished watching the first season of Smallville. We just started watching his box set when it came on HBO Max, so definitely perfect timing.

As for movies I watched Vivo and After We Fell. Both were great and I’m glad I took the time to sit down and see what they were about. I really like having a weekly movie day/night.

I love pop music and love songs, haha. So when I saw this playlist I had to listen to it. This romantic mix has a lot of songs that I love.

So that’s how my last two weeks have been! How have you been? Do anything fun? Read any amazing books I should know about? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
