Tracking your TBR is pretty important when it’s quite large, haha. Besides Down the TBR Hole and my Netgalley Backlist we needed something to track my physical TBR. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.
This week’s topic is a Happy 2 Years of #5OnMyTBR Freebie! So I decided to go for books that have been on my TBR for at least 2 years. There were more to choose from than I’d like to admit haha. I have 5 books I got in March 2020, so I’ve owned those for almost exactly 2 years now! Let’s see which ones those are.
1.Dance of Despair – Kara S. Weaver
I’m the first friend haha. Kara is a personal friend and she wrote 3 books in this series already. I have yet to read the first one… These books sound amazing and Candyce loved them so I have high hopes. Of course it’s always harder to read something your friend wrote and be able to review that ‘objectively’ so maybe that’s why I haven’t read it yet.
2. House of Earth and Blood – Sarah J. Maas
Why, why, why is this still on my TBR? I love Sarah’s books and I loved what I read from this one. It did already break my heart in a 1000 pieces but I guess that was to be expected haha. The sequel released last month and I want to pick this back up asap!
3. The Priory of the Orange Tree – Samantha Shannon
While I’m sure I will love this, it’s a BIG book haha. It is an intimidating one to pick up and I think I’ll wait until I’ve finished my studies so I can focus on it. The reviews are quite good so I do have high hopes and would like to read it for a longer time period at once instead of just a chapter a night.
4. Arcanum Unbounded – Brandon Sanderson
This is a bind up of several short stories and since I haven’t read all of the books in the Cosmere universe yet I haven’t been able to read all of the stories. I’m pretty sure I’ve read one of the stories and I could read more now but I think I’ll wait until I’ve read some more of the main books!
5. The Merciful Crow – Margaret Owen
I think I’ve talked about this one multiple times already! This one sounds like it will be something I enjoy a lot and friends who’ve read it really liked it. So when I finally do read it, I’m sure it will be at least a 4 star read. Hopefully soon haha. Talking about it here does put it back on my radar.
5 books I’ve owned for almost exactly 2 years now. Which one should I pick up first? It would be great if I could cross off some of these in 2022. Let me know in the comments, maybe you’ve read one of them already?
