WWW Wednesday #4

It’s been two weeks since my last WWW Wednesday, so it’s time for a new one. I’ve read quite a bit since then, so I won’t be talking about all of the books I’ve read, but only a few.

So it’s time for the first WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

Gallant – V.E. Schwab

Gallant was such a dark, but magical read. The characters were interesting and I loved the setting. I know this will be one that I revisit in the future!

Love & Other Disasters – Anita Kelly

Love & Other Disasters is a book I saw everywhere before it released and I was really curious. I love cooking shows, so the fact that there was one in this book had me very happy! The love story was so much fun and I loved that it was realistic.. My full review will be up soon.

Ice Planet Barbarians – Ruby Dixon

This book has been all over the place. Especially since Berkley did a special edition of the first two books. Alien romance/erotica is something I never expected to read. I picked it up for a group read in TBR and Beyond. In all honesty, I’m still not sure what I read, haha. Even if I enjoyed it more than expected.

The Reckoning – Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti

Zodiac Academy has been a wild ride so far. Each book keeps me hooked and wanting more. Darcy and Tory have been through so much and have learned a lot since arriving and they’re not out of trouble yet. This ending leaves you hanging in many ways and I need more!!

What are you currently reading?

Flock – Kate Stewart

Flock is another book I’ve seen everywhere on TikTok. No one seems to tell anyone exactly what it’s about. It’s like a mystery you need to discover yourself. All I know is that this book seems to break you when you read it, haha. I’m 25% in so far and still very curious. The author’s writing style is easy to read and I can’t wait to see where it all goes.

Hate – Tate James

Hate is a book that seems to be really popular and I haven’t read anything with a reverse harem yet (even though I believe Flock has one as well?). I’m buddyreading this one with a friend from Instagram. We read the first five chapters on Monday and I definitely liked what I’ve read so far. I have a feeling this is going to be very interesting.

The Deal – Elle Kennedy

Off Campus is still one of my favorite romantic comedy series. I read The Deal for the first time in April 2017, so almost 5 years ago. Seeing how I want to read the spin off, I decided to pick up this series for a reread again first. I’m about 20% in and loving it all over again.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Girls of Fate and Fury – Natasha Ngan

The last two months I read the first and second book of the Girls of Paper and Fire series. This month it’s finally time for the final book in the trilogy: Girls of Fate and Fury. I can’t wait to see how it all plays out, but I’m afraid for the characters I’ve come to love!

King of Battle and Blood – Scarlett St. Clair

Scarlett St. Clair is an author I’ve wanted to give a try and when King of Battle and Blood released I was definitely curious. This is the swoon read I host in the TBR and Beyond group this month. I know a lot of people have comparing it to From Blood and Ash, so I’m hoping they’re not too much alike.

Shadow Princess – Caroline Peckham & Susanna Valenti

After the ending of The Reckoning I knew I needed to make time for Shadow Princess right away. Even though I need to get a few other things read this week while off of work this needs to get priority!

So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! Have you read any of these? Or have you read anything good? What are you planning to read? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
