It’s been two weeks and I’ve decided it was time again for another WWW Wednesday. I’ve read quite a few books since my last post, so I won’t mention them all today. Our February wrap up comes online later today, so it would be a bit much to talk about all of them twice.
So it’s time for the first WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What did you recently finish reading?
All the Right Reasons – Bethany Mangle
All the Right Reasons was pitched as The Bachelor meets Gilmore Girls and I was sold. In the end this was a fast and fun read, but it didn’t have the depth I was looking for. I still enjoyed it, but it wasn’t completely what I was expecting.
Under One Roof – Ali Hazelwood
After reading The Love Hypothesis last year I need everything written by this author. Under One Roof is a novella that isn’t releasing as an e-book until May, but the audiobook is available now. I loved this enemies to lovers story and will definitely be reading this again once I get my hands on the e-book.
Delilah Green Doesn’t Care – Ashley Herring Blake
Delilah Green Doesn’t Care is already on my list of favorite books of 2022. I smiled through a lot of this story and even cried. Claire and Delilah are amazing characters and this romance was amazing. I can’t wait for the next book releasing in this series in November.
Girls of Storm and Shadow – Natasha Ngan
Girls of Storm and Shadow was such an intense ride. I read some reviews saying nothing happens in this book, but I think I read something different. This book kept me on the edge of my seat (especially the last 100 pages) and that ending makes me want to read the third book immediately.
What are you currently reading?
Ruthless Fae – Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti
Ruthless Fae is a book I’ve been taking my time with and I have to say it’s a wild ride. I’m loving learning more about these characters and this messed up world. It’s safe to say I’m glad that I have some free time in March to binge the next few books in this series.
Love & Other Disasters – Anita Kelly
After seeing Love & Other Disasters everywhere before it released I was kind of scared of the hype. I’m happy to say it’s living up to its hype and then some. I love that it’s set during a reality cooking show (those are definitely my guilty pleasure) and I love Dahlia and London. I’m going to be sad when I’ve finished this book.
Gallant – V.E. Schwab
Being able to read Gallant early was quite a surprise, but an amazing one. I literally put aside what I was reading to start reading this one. V.E. Schwab has such an amazing way with words and proves it again with Gallant. She takes us away to a dark and magical world and I’m enjoying every minute of it so far.
So This Is Ever After – F.T. Lukens
F.T. Lukens is an author I’ve wanted to try since getting In Deeper Waters. Both of the covers are stunning and So This Is Ever After is what I started with. I’m 40% in this book and I’m enjoying it. I love how sarcastic and realistic these characters are. It’s a fun adventure so far.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Undercover Princess – Connie Glynn
I’m on a blog tour for Undercover Princess and it sounds like a really sweet middle grade book. Pretending to be a princess definitely sounds like a lot of fun. I’ve heard some great reviews about this so far, so I’m excited to read it myself.
The Reckoning – Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti
Like I just said about Ruthless Fae this series is an exciting adventure. The Reckoning is the next book and I have the paperback that will be coming on vacation with me. I’m hoping to binge this book as well as the fourth and fifth book while free from work.
House of Sky and Breath – Sarah J. Maas
Like many others I’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of House of Sky and Breath. I finally have a copy and a friend and I are starting our buddy read this week. I’m excited and scared at the same time.
Mr. Wrong Number – Lynn Painter
Mr. Wrong Number is a book I’ve been putting off reading, because I know I’m going to love it and be sad when it’s over. It’s time for me to read this text message gone wrong that turns into an anonymous flirtation. I’m excited to see what adventure this author gives these two characters.
So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week. What have you been reading? Or have you read anything I talked about today? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
Looks like some awesome books. I want to read So This Is Ever After. I own the first Zodiac Academy book too that I need to start.
