We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
It’s still been pretty quiet here, but last week I went out for lunch with my mother. We did a little shopping and walked around town. Other than that I’ve just been working. I’m loving that it’s staying lighter out later. Last week storm Eunice hit so I stayed in reading all day on Friday. I was supposed to work Saturday morning, but there was so much damage that the trains weren’t riding at all. So I got an extra day of cat cuddles and reading time.
When I wrote my last Royal Update I had a lot of e-arcs that I added to my Kindle. This time I’ve only added six, haha.
Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: No Judgements, Girl on Fire, Love at First Spite, Under One Roof, The Accidental Apprentice, Claimed by Cupid, All the Right Reasons, and Delilah Green Doesn’t Care.
I’m currently reading: Ruthless Fae, The Fastest Way to Fall, So This Is Ever After, Covet (re-read), An Unexpected Kind of Love, Boyfriend Material, and Girls of Storm and Shadow.
This week I’ll be reading: Now That I’ve Found You, Love & Other Disasters, Love and Other Words, and House of Sky and Breath.
This week I have two cover reveals I want to share.
Once again nothing to report for this shop log!
So a colleague of mine recommended The Woman in the House Across the Street From the Girl in the Window. I’d seen it around, but wasn’t sure about it. I still decided to sit down and watch it and got hooked. I never expected it to end the way it did. There is also a little set up for a second season, so I’ll have to keep an eye out to see if that happens.
I started watching the second season of Love, Victor right after it was put on Disney+, but ended up getting distracted. I recently saw an article that the show will be ending with the third and final season, so it was time to catch up. Once again I loved these episodes even though I wished I’d waited for the third season, because the way the second season ended was just mean, haha.
So I was recently listening to a playlist for songs to sing under the shower and stumbled upon the song Falling by Harry Styles. His music has never really caught my attention, but I decided to give his album a try. There are some good songs on there.
So that’s it for me these last two weeks! How have you been? Read or watch anything interesting I should know about? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
I love fine line😍. I’m reading ace of spades now.
I’m glad to hear that The Woman in the House across the Street from the Girl in the Window is good. I’ve been wanting to watch it. I just haven’t had time yet.
I’m so jealous of everyone who gets to ride a train as part of their commute. I’ve never ridden in one and I’d really love to.
I’m sorry about the damage from Eunice. I hope it doesn’t take too much time to recover from and get back to normal.
