Tracking your TBR is pretty important when it’s quite large, haha. Besides Down the TBR Hole and my Netgalley Backlist we needed something to track my physical TBR. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.

This week’s topic is Guardian. This is a pretty difficult topic, I think you can interpret it different ways. So I decided to take a look at my shelves and pick 5 books that I think will have some type of guardian in it haha. Let’s jump in!

1. The Hobbit – J.R.R. Tolkien

I think Gandalf definitely counts as a guardian so this was an easy pick. This one has been on my TBR for awhile now. I’ve been wanting to read it ever since watching the movies. Hopefully soon I finally will haha.

2. A Discovery of Witches – Deborah Harkness

I’m not sure if there will be a guardian in this but it seems like the perfect novel for it haha. These kinds of books tend to be slow but it does sound like something I’ll enjoy! I haven’t watched the tv show yet as I want to try the book first.

3. Mortal Heart – Robin LaFevers

The girls at the convent get their gifts form St. Mortain, or at least they believe so. So I figure we can count St. Mortain as a guardian! I need to read this book soon, I’ve forgotten everything about the first two books haha. Would be great if I can finish this series this year.

4. The Invasion of the Tearling – Erika Johansen

Kelsea definitely had some guardian in the first book! To be honest I don’t remember if they all survived the first book haha. But assuming at least one of them did I will just say this one fits. I didn’t love the first book but I still want to read this second one and probably the last book in the series as well.

5. Way of Kings – Brandon Sanderson

I feel like almost every Brandon Sanderson book I’ve read so far has some type of guardian character in it. So I’m going to assume this big boy has one as well haha. I would love to catch up on all my Brandon Sanderson books but the man writes some enormous novels haha.
