One of my reading goals this year is to increase my Netgalley feedback ratio so I thought it would be fitting to do a Netgalley book tag today! I’m trying to be consistent with reading my eARC’s and the more I talk about Netgalley the easier it gets haha. This tag was created by Kourtni Reads but that blog is no longer available. I found it at The Bibliophile Girl and I’m excited to answer these questions. So let’s jump in!
1. Auto-Approved: Who’s one author whose books you automatically want to read, regardless of what they’re about?
I actually have a couple of those haha. But V.E. Schwab, Leigh Bardugo and Sarah J Maas are very high up that list! I don’t even care what the book is about, I just need to have it (and at some point need to read it haha).
2. Request: What makes you want to request a book that you see on NetGalley?
The title and the author are usually the 2 main things grabbing my attention. And of course if I see a book on there that I already added to my Goodreads because it’s an anticipated release.
3. Feedback Ratio: Do you review every book you read? If not, how do you decide what books to review?
No I don’t review all the books I read, but I do review all the eARC’s I read. Some books I just don’t have that much to say about haha. I also feel like most readers aren’t interested in some of the books I read so I decide to no review those.
4. Badges: If you could create your own badge to display on your blog, what would it be for?
I would want a badge for every series I finish. Maybe that would finally motivate me enough to actually finish some series haha. It’s a reading goal once again and it would be great if I finally made some progress with it.
5. Wish for It: What’s one book that you are absolutely dying to read?
One 2022 release I’m extremely excited for right now is All of Our Demise and the other is The Golden Enclave. Both are sequels (and actually the last in series) and the previous books ended on cliffhangers so I NEED these asap!
6. 2022 NetGalley Challenge: What was the last book that you received as an ARC that you reviewed? If you’ve never received an ARC, what’s the last book you reviewed?
Candyce and I did a buddyreview for If this Gets Out very recently and that was the last eARC I reviewed. But you can expect another one very soon! I’m almost done with my current read and that is also an eARC.
I worked so hard to get that 80% badge on NetGalley, then promptly went on a request spree. I need to work on getting those books read & reviewed asap so I don’t keep trending the wrong way. Good luck with yours. Great post!
