In 2021 I discovered quite a few new authors who had books I loved so much I want to read their whole backlist. I really love when that happens, but there are still quite a few authors who have books that sounds good and I want to give a try in 2022. Today I want to talk about a few of those authors. Keep on reading to find out more!
Mariana Zapata
Mariana Zapata is an author that’s been on my radar since Dear Aaron released in 2017. For some reason I just haven’t gotten around to picking it up. I’ve recently seen her books all over TikTok and even though they’re huge book I understand they’re slow burn romances. I love those when done right, so I’m excited to finally read one of these books.
Amy Harmon
Amy Harmon is a favorite author of one of my favorite authors LJ Evans. She’s talked about Amy’s books quite often and I really need to give this a go. The Songbook of Benny Lament released this year and I ordered it a few months ago. A powerful love story in this 60s. Sounds good to me!
Kate Stewart
To be honest I’m not sure if this trilogy is for me, but I’ve seen The Ravenhood trilogy all over the place this year. No one seems to really know what it’s exactly about, but it seems to be something you need to experience by just reading. So I at least want to give the first book a go.
Tate James
Tate James is an author quite a few of my bookstagram friends have read this year and seem to love. Hate is a reverse harem enemies to lovers story. I’ve never read anything with a reverse harem, but these books sound really good. For some reason all the authors I want to try have really big books, so I’ll definitely get my goal for that going in 2022, haha.
Krista & Becca Ritchie
Okay, so I love the covers of this series. This is one I’ve seen quite a lot on TikTok and it’s caught my attention. It’s apparently less spicy, but intense emotionally. The main series has five books, but also has spinoffs. I’m hoping to love this one, so I can spend lots of time in this world.
So these are five authors I’m really hoping to give a try in 2022. There are plenty more, but these are the ones that keep popping up everywhere and the books I’m really curious about. Have you read anything by these authors? I’d love to hear from you if you have. Also, what authors do you want to read something by in 2022! I’m always looking for new suggestions.
Candyce! You are killing my TBR! Great list.
