We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
These past two weeks I have been once again working and studying. I’m very tired, we have a lot of sick colleagues and work can be bit of a challenge. While I still love being a teacher, I can’t wait for the next holiday haha.
No new eARC’s! My feedback ratio on Netgalley is 38% but I still hope to up that before the end of the year.
I finally finished some book again. These past weeks I finished Hail Mary, Six Stories and Where The Drowned Girls Go. It was so nice to finish some books again and I hope to have found my flow again. I’m currently listening to The Eye of The World and plan on listening to the next book in the series right after. Of course I had to get started before watching the show and I’m happy I finally did it haha. I’m also reading You’ll Be The Death of Me.
The first book for Daphne’s Press (Illumicrate’s new publishing company) has been announced. It’s Sabriel by Garth Nix. The book looks gorgeous and has some really nice and cool features. But it is priced at £75 + VAT and shipping…
Nothing new this time. We’re getting closer to Christmas so I’m about to do some shopping for that soon.
It’s probably no surprise that I have been watching The Wheel of Time this weekend! And I loved it! You can expect a Show Sunday about those first episodes this coming weekend. I’ve also watched two movies on Disney+, Shang-Chi and Jungle Cruise. Usually I don’t watch that many movies but I loved both of them.
I’ve been listening to Red (Taylor’s Version) non-stop. It’s almost impossible not seeing it everywhere haha. But I’m really enjoying it and have been listening to the album over and over again!

I was never able to get into reading Wheel of Time, personally, but my brother loves it. I have been waiting to see what the consensus is about the show! It seems like they made some big changes, but people seem to be enjoying it so far. I haven’t asked him what he thinks yet though…haha.
