It’s been a few weeks, but I think it’s time for another Netgalley Backlist post. Especially with doing Netgalley November this month I think it’s good to stay on top of these posts. Today it’s time for part 9, but click here for part 8. Let’s see what the next eight books are that I need to read. Maybe you can help me pick my next book.
Chosen Ones – Veronica Roth
Chosen Ones sounds like an interesting story. What happens to the heroes after they defeat evil? That’s not something I’ve ever really read about. There are some mixed reviews for this book, but I’m still curious enough to give it a go.
More Than Just a Pretty Face – Syed M. Masood
More Than Just a Pretty Face is pitched for fans of Becky Albertalli and Jenny Han. I love both of those authors, so it definitely caught me attention. I’m a big fan of a good rom-com, so I’ll definitely sit down with More Than Just a Pretty Face when I need a pick me up.
Starbreaker – Amanda Bouchet
Starbreaker is the second book in the Endeavor trilogy and I loved the first book. I don’t read science fiction that often, but I love the world this author created. The crew we met in the first book were hilarious and I’ve become invested in their adventures.
More Than Maybe – Erin Hahn
As a contemporary fan I needed this book when I heard about it. More Than Maybe has a music blogger and I’m tempted to read anything that has a blogger no matter what the subject, haha. I did try the audiobook for More Than Maybe, but not all audios work for me and this was one of them. I will sit down and read it though.
Lobizona – Romina Garber
Lobizona is actually a book I started reading. I started doing a buddy read with a friend who ended up not really feeling this book. So it got put on the back burner while other things became a priority. I was enjoying the world and story, but was still a bit confused. I do hope to finish it soon.
Dark Skies – Danielle L. Jensen
Okay, so I tend to be good at requesting sequels before reading the first book of a series, haha. Which is also the case with Dark Skies. Danielle L. Jensen tends to be an author I hear a lot of amazing things about. I have read The Bridge Kingdom and really enjoyed the story. I definitely want to read more by this author.
The Damned – Renee Ahdieh
The Damned is the second book in this trilogy (I think it’s only going to be a trilogy). I still need to read The Beautiful before picking this one up. I’ve heard great things about these books, so I’m very excited to dive into this world.
Live Like Legends – Kate Cornell
Live Like Legends is a book I forgot about. Reading the synopsis definitely has me curious again. I love books with royalty and politics. This seems like it will check off all of those boxes.
So these are the next eight books on my Netgalley backlist. Which one should I read first? If you’ve read any of these, I’d love to hear what you thought! Let me know in the comments!
Lobizona is so good! I hope you enjoy it, too.
