We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

I had a week off of work and I had an amazing trip to Paris with my mom. We went there by train and just had the best time. I really wanted to go to the Shakespeare & Co bookstore so we went there the first day. The second day we went to a bunch of vintage shops and found some gems. Third day was our cultural day, we went to the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and took a boot tour on the Seine. Last day we just shopped a bit more and went to a cafe. Overall we had a great time!! I also spend some time with friends this week and didn’t really rest haha. So while I’m back to work I’m already looking towards my next days off haha.

No new ARC’s this week! And I’m happy about it haha. I finally finished one again and I hope to make my way to that 50% mark before the end of the year. Who knows, maybe I’ll actually manage that ;).

I’m so happy to say I’ve finally finished some books again. What a great feeling! I read The 22 Murders of Madison May, Ace of Spades and The Love Hypothesis. At the moment I’m reading My Contrary Mary and Chef’s Kiss. This week I also want to start Home Before Dark.

I have 3 cover reveals I want to share with you. The first is the most exciting in my opinion. I adore the My Lady Jane series and I’m so happy the authors continued it with a Mary series. This is the cover for the second book and it look gorgeous. The synopsis also sounds amazing and I just can’t wait for it! Next is the cover for Fransesca Zappia’s newest novel and I love the look of that one as well. Lastly, the cover for Crumbs. This is a webtoon comic and is getting published. It looks great and I definitely want to read it.

So I bought quite a lot of clothes haha, I won’t bother you with all of what I got. But I also got a cute tote bag at Shakespeare & Co, which I think you would appreciate. It was a pretty expensive tote but I just had to get it!

I actually watched a lot of shows yesterday haha, it was time to catch up. Some of my favorite shows have started back up again and I have been watching them; Nancy Drew, 9-1-1, Chicago PD (and Fire), Station 19 & Grey’s Anatomy. And I’m still keeping up with Only Murders in the Building.

Since I spend a lot of time on Marauders TikTok I have heard a lot of Marina songs. But I finally decided to listen to all of the Family Jewels album. And I love it! So it has been on, on repeat haha.
