It’s been a while since I’ve done a 5 On My TBR post, but I wanted to do another one. I keep track of my ARCs and other books, so it’s also fun to keep track of my physical TBR. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme is hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.
This week’s prompt is a Halloween Freebie, so I decided to talk about 5 Books I Keep Saving for Halloween. What spooky books do I still have on my shelf to read? Keep on reading to find out!
The Madman’s Daughter – Megan Shepherd
I actually bought this trilogy a few years ago when I had the opportunity to meet Megan Sherpherd. Unfortunately, they weren’t delivered in time, but I’m still curious about this story. I’m not so sure about the experimenting on animals though.
The Book of Accidents – Chuck Wendig
Our bookclub picked The Book of Accidents last month for the thriller pick, but it seems this one is a horror. My reading was awful in September, so I didn’t get around to reading it. I’m still new to horror, but I’m curious about this one.
Little Creeping Things – Chelsea Ichaso
Little Creeping Things has been on my TBR for way too long. I’ve been so curious about it, but just haven’t picked it up even though I’ve heard amazing things. Hopefully this thriller keeps me on the edge of my seat.
Seance Tea Party – Reimena Yee
I’ve come to love graphic novels, so when someone recommended Seance Tea Party I couldn’t resist. I bought this one either at the beginning of the year or end of last year. Who knows? I may have already read this one before this post comes online.
Mexican Gothic – Silvia Moreno-Garcia
Mexican Gothic seems to be a really dark book with an atmospheric setting. The cover is stunning and it seems like this book would fit perfectly on a dark and rainy night. Our weather has been like that lately, so I may need to pick it up soon!
These are five books I really want to read around Halloween. I definitely have more than just these, but these are on top of my list to be read this year. What books do you have on your TBR for Halloween? Any recommendations? Let me know in the comments!
I finished Mexican Gothic last month and it’s so atmospheric, definitely perfect for a dark and rainy night! I hope you enjoy these 🙂
