When I’m looking outside it’s very clear that it’s autumn. And while I’m done with the rain, I do love autumn weather haha. So today it is time for an autumn book tag. I found the cozy autumn book tag over at Lair of Books so that’s what I’ll be doing. Let’s jump in!
1. What book always reminds you of fall/autumn?
I’d say any book starting with a new school year reminds me of fall. Also spooky books!
2. What is your favourite autumnal book cover?
Pumpkinheads has a very autumnal cover haha. It just screams autumn and I’m kinda jealous to be honest ;). I also enjoyed the book, another plus point for this cover.
3. What is your favourite autumnal drink to read with?
I always drink tea haha. And around this time of year we get Winter Glow tea which I would actually say is a fall kind of drink. So that is definitely my go-to autumnal drink.
4. Do you prefer to read late at night or early in the morning?
I prefer to sleep early in the morning haha, so I’d rather read late at night. That’s actually what I usually do anyway.
5. Halloween is coming! What is your favourite spooky read?
Small Spaces by Katherine Arden. I really like this MG spooky series and I can’t wait to read the third book. This series is very spooky and I love the focus on the friendship. A close second is the Cassie Blake series by Victoria Schwab. Also very spooky and also with a focus on friendships haha.
6. What is the ultimate comfort read for you?
I am becoming more and more critical of the Harry Potter books but they are still my ultimate comfort read. Almost every year I reread these book and I do think fall is the perfect time of year to start a reread. Just do it with book you already own or that you got second hand so She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named will not get a penny ;).
7. What is your favourite autumnal reading snack?
To be honest, I don’t really eat reading snacks. I’m trying my hardest to come up with just any snack but all I can think about are honey candies I got in France?
8. What is your favourite autumnal candle to burn whilst reading?
While I love candles, and I own a TON of bookish candles, those aren’t the candles I actually burn haha. This summer I got candles in France made of honey and they smell so good. They are great as autumnal candles and I need to stock up when I’m there again.
9. When you’re not reading, what is your favourite autumnal activity?
I really want to go a pumpkin patch one day but we don’t have those in the Netherlands. We don’t really have any autumnal activities that I can think off haha. I usually just lay on the couch under a blanket and drink my tea and watch some tv shows ;).
10. What is on your autumn/fall reading list?
I want to read Legendary and Finale so I can read Once Upon a Broken Heart. The Righteous is on my TBR and I really need to read the first book in the Wheel of Time series. I think I’ll leave it at that considering that I haven’t finished that many books lately haha. finishing these would be great!
And that was the cosy autumn tag! I hope you enjoyed reading this tag, I for one enjoying answering these questions. Fall is probably my favorite season so I’m glad I did a tag around fall again. What book reminds you of fall? Let me know in the comments!
I’ve been meaning to read Pumpkinheads – the cover does make it seem like the perfect fall read!
I can’t believe you guys don’t have pumpkin patches, but I’d love to visit the Netherlands someday! I love this cozy autumn book tag.
