We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
This is becoming boring haha. But next update will be more exciting, I promise! I have worked a lot, and studied a lot. Although I have to admit, I’ve also done some fun things lately. We went bowling with a couple of my colleagues and that was a lot of fun. This weekend one of my friends celebrated her birthday and we played beer pong. It has been awhile since we had actual parties so this was just weird but amazing. I enjoyed it a lot, just being around other people again, talking to people you haven’t seen in a while and just dancing and drinking haha.
I have two new eARC’s, and one of them I’m SUPER excited about haha. The first one is Chef’s Kiss, a graphic novel I think will be very cute. And the next one is The Righteous, the third book in the Beautiful series by Renee Ahdieh. I really enjoyed the first books and I can’t wait to find out how it all continues.
It’s really sad but I haven’t finished a book since the last Royal Update. I hope to read a bit more the upcoming two weeks, I have a couple of days off next week so that usually means reading time haha. By then I hope to have finished The 22 Murders of Madison May and start reading another eARC.
There were 2 cover reveals I had to share. The first is Alliana Girl of Dragons. I loved Julie Abe’s previous book; Eva Evergreen and I think this will be another amazing read. The cover is gorgeous and I love how it matches the promo for Heat Wave hahaha. Heat Wave is the second cover reveal I wanted to share. It’s the final book in TJ Klune’s Extraordinaries series and while I still need to read the second book, I’m very excited for that final book.
I’ve been watching a lot of Netflix haha. When I’m super busy it’s nice to look at a tv show and not have to think much. Of course I watched the latest hype Squid Game. I also rewatched On My Block and after that I watched the final season that was just released. And I’ve started watching Charmed from the beginning! I’ve seen a lot of it but I never watched all the episodes so this very enjoyable.
In December I’m going to a concert and the artist just released a playlist with all the songs he will be performing. So I have been listening to that playlist non-stop haha. It’s so nice to have this in advance and get ready for the concert. The artist is Kraantje Pappie and he’s Dutch so this playlist might not be interesting for most of you but I wanted to share it nonetheless haha.
