Tracking your TBR is pretty important when it’s quite large, haha. Besides Down the TBR Hole and my Netgalley Backlist I needed something to track my physical TBR. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme is hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.
This week’s topic is Magic School. I adore a magic school setting so I was getting very excited right away. Let’s take a look which books I still have on my TBR. Let’s dive right in!
1.Hollowpox: the Hunt for Morrigan Crow – Jessica Townsend
I adored the first two books in this magical MG series so much and I can’t believe I still haven’t read this one yet. It’s very high on my TBR and I need to pick it up soon. Luckily the next instalment won’t release until October 2022 so I have a little while to go.
2. Red Sister – Mark Lawrence
Another one I want to read soon! I’ve had this one on my TBR for awhile and I’ve heard amazing things. The whole trilogy is out and I just need to get to it. I haven’t read a Mark Lawrence book yet but I do have multiple on my TBR.
3. The Last Graduate – Naomi Novik
I actually have an eARC of this one. The book doesn’t release until next week so maybe I can still read it before then haha. I loved the first book in the series and the ending had such a cliff-hanger! To be honest, that’s why I’m scared to start this one haha. I know I will hate the wait until the last book comes out.
4. De Erfenis van Richard Grenville – Natalie Koch
This is actually a Dutch book but it is set in London. It’s about a magical university, sounds pretty perfect to me haha. I’ve heard amazing things but it’s hard to get my hands on the rest of the series so that’s why I haven’t started reading the book yet.
5. Ninth House – Leigh Bardugo
I’m cheating a little bit with this one. The school (or rather university) this story is set at isn’t actually a magical school. But the secret society does resolve around magic (or so I believe) so I think this counts! I actually started the first chapter this weekend and I hope to read more soon.
This was harder than expected haha! Apparently I don’t have that many magic school books on my TBR. Is that an excuse to buy some more? Any recommendations? And which of these should I pick up first? Let me know down below!
Amazing post, I absolutely love the magic school setting as well, so definitely need to pick some of these up soon!
