Last week the final season of Lucifer was released. And while I tried to somewhat pace myself I did watch the whole season in a couple of days haha. I just couldn’t stop watching and had to know how it would all end. Today I want to tell you my thought about this final season.

Lucifer Morningstar has decided he’s had enough of being the dutiful servant in Hell and decides to spend some time on Earth to better understand humanity. He settles in Los Angeles – the City of Angels.

Last season we saw Lucifer win the ‘war’ to become the new God. We also saw the tragic ending of Daniel. I had some ideas about what I wanted to see in this last season but I have to say I didn’t have that many theories to be honest. The trailer gave us some interesting things to think about but I wanted to be surprised so I didn’t dive into it much.

I really enjoyed the storyline we got. And I can honestly say I was surprised! I never saw the early twist coming and was very happy about it. Some of it was a little bit rushed in my opinion, I think there was a part about all the siblings that could’ve been expanded a bit more, and give us a couple of extra episodes haha. Same with a storyline involving Eve. I understand that it all had to fit into these 10 episodes, and I just wanted more because I didn’t want to say goodbye…. But still I would’ve liked to see those storylines explored a bit more.

What I was hoping for most were some emotional and heartfelt scenes I think. I love these characters so much, Ella being my favorite, and their relationships with each other are the heart of the show. So seeing them together for a last time was very emotional. The show definitely delivered on that point and I bawled my eyes out haha. I also loved seeing some characters from previous seasons! And we got a new character that brought a very interesting dynamic to the show. I definitely enjoyed this character and the storyline Rond them.

I think my face says it all haha. This was right after the last episode, I sent this to a group chat with some friends and one of them had just watched the second to last episode and sent a similar picture back haha. I just love this show a whole lot and the final season was great in my opinion. While I don’t think everyone will love the ending, I certainly did. I think it was very fitting and I loved all that we got <3
