We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
To be honest since game night two weeks ago I haven’t done much but work, haha. The game night really took a lot out of me I have to say. Not being that social in over a year took a toll. I was pretty tired most of the week. I’m hoping once we start doing this regularly again I’ll get used to it.
We’ve had some cooler weather, so after work I’ve mostly been cuddling with the kitties and reading at home. The weather will be a bit warmer this week, but then back to the fall temperatures. I’m looking forward to the cozy weather.
My goal to increase my Netgalley feedback ratio is failing miserably, haha. I’ve received quite a few e-arcs since my last Royal Update: 14 new e-arcs! Oops…
Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: Changeling, The Bear and the Nightingale, The Ex Talk, Local Woman Missing, Ace of Spades, Immunity, and Where I Belong.
I’m currently reading: Death by Dumpling, All of Us Villains, Rich People Problems, Blood & Honey, The Twelve Dates of Christmas, Missing, and The Girls Are Never Gone.
This week I plan on reading: That Weekend, The Hawthorne Legacy, and The Jasmine Project.
It’s really awful, but I’ve been really bit about keeping up with bookish news. There was a cover reveal this week and I have to say the reveal of Husband Material makes me want to pick up Boyfriend Material really soon!
I haven’t really shopped much. Last week I did buy two pairs of pants. I don’t have a picture, but I’m ready for the cooler temperatures.
We’ve been trying to watch a movie every week on Sunday. There are so many amazing movies out there and we haven’t really made much time to sit down and watch them. So the latest one I watched was Cruella. I have to say this movie ended up being a lot better than I expected. Cruella’s story was really interesting and Emma Stone did a great job portraying this character.
I enjoy A Great Big World’s music and they recently released the new album Particles. There are some really good songs on this one!
So that is how my past two weeks have been! How have you been? Read, watch or listen to anything I should know about? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
