We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!
Life has been a bit more interesting lately, haha. Besides work I’ve been able to do a few fun things. Last week I went to Den Haag with my mother and we went to the new mall there. It’s huge! I don’t think we’ve even seen everything yet and I hope to go back soon. This is the first time here in The Netherlands that I actually felt like I was back in an American mall. It was fun. We visited Starbucks on our way home and of course they spelled my name wrong again, haha. This is the closest they’ve gotten so far.
Last weekend we had our first monthly game night in over a year. It was definitely great seeing everyone and it just being possible again. I have to say it was a bit much though. It’s been way too long since I’ve socialized with so many people at once. Hopefully we can do this every month again.
Since my last Royal Update I’ve added 8 ARCs to my Kindle. Oops! Haha. Here are the books I received.
Since my last Royal Update I finished reading Pet, Half Sick of Shadows, Six Crimson Cranes, Down with This Ship, Like a Love Song, The Extraordinaries, Serpent & Dove, The Love Song of Ivy K. Harlowe, and How Moon Fuentez Fell in Love with the Universe.
At the moment I’m currently reading Fable, Immunity, All of Us Villains, Ace of Spades, Riley Thorn and the Dead Guy Next Door, Dear Mr. Brody, and A Fate of Wrath & Flame.
This week I’ll be reading The Ex Talk, The Bear and the Nightingale, Fireborn, and Yes & I Love You.
It’s really annoying. I remember seeing a few things this past week that I wanted to share in this post, but I just don’t remember what they are, haha. If I do before my next Royal Update I’ll make sure to add them in that post.
Even though I wen to the mall I actually didn’t buy anything. That may change the next time I go, haha.
What If started airing on Disney+ and the boyfriend and I have watched the first two episodes. It’s interesting to see how certain changes in the Marvel universe could make things so differently. I love that it’s a cartoon.
Spotify made a time capsule with songs they’d think I’d like. I’ve really been enjoying these songs and will probably be listening to it for some time, haha.
So that was my life for the past two weeks. How have you been? Have you read anything interesting? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
So many books to comment on! I’ll just mention a few. You are going to love Fireborn! It’s incredible. And Six Crimson Cranes is probably my favorite YA Fantasy this year. I just adored it. Happy reading!
