Royal Update #85

We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

After three weeks off I started working again last week. Definitely had to get used to it again haha. The weather finally got better, just when my vacation was over haha. However, I was very thankful because that meant perfect weather for two really fun things I did this past week.

First off was an evening to an outdoor cinema in Rotterdam. This was only available for a couple of days and I was a lot of fun. We also saw an amazing movie; Promising Young Woman. I loved it so much! And secondly I went to the Efteling. It’s an amusementspark here in the Netherlands. I went with my brother and friends of ours were already there. They got a cabin for four days and we got to stay for a night as well. We had perfect weather, a ton of fun and got to go on a bunch of rides.

Lastly, I got to ride my horse again, for the first time since she got her foal. It was an amazing feeling and I was so happy to ride again. My mare was doing wonderfully and it was clear she was very happy to be working again as well. All in all I had a great time this past week!

I requested some eArcs I didn’t really expect to get to be honest. But they were some of my most anticipated releases for this year so I had to try! And I got two of them!! The first one is All of Us Villains by Christine Lynn Hermans and Amanda Foody. I already started reading it and I hope to finish it the coming week. The other one is The Last Graduate by Naomi Novik, the sequel to A Deadly Education, one of my favorite reads from last year. I’m definitely reading this one very soon!

Since my last Royal Update I finished The Library of the Unwritten, Death Note Black edition vol 3, Fruits Basket Collectors Edition vol 3, They Wish They Were Us, This Is How You Lose the Time War and Pet. I’m currently reading The Extraordinaries, All of Us Villains and Project Hail Mary. After this I’m definitely picking up The Last Graduate and probably As Good As Dead.

I’ve been super busy I didn’t see any bookish news unfortunately. Will keep my eye out for any exciting news next time.

While I did spent a lot of money I didn’t get anything worth mentioning here haha.

I’ve been watching a lot of shows haha. Roswell, New Mexico started again so I’ve watched the first couple of episodes. After not watching it for years, I finally continued Salvation, I did also rewatch the first season as a refresher. I finally watched the last season of How To Get Away With Murder and the second season of Love, Victor. Others I watched were Snowpiercer season 2, El Desorden Que Dejas, Atypical’s final season, Never Have I Ever’s second season and I started watching Marvel’s Agents of Shield again.

I’ve mostly been listening to my podcasts as I missed a couple of episodes the past weeks. So I listened to CrimeJunkie, Red Collar, Anatomy of Murder and International Infamy.

That was my Royal Update for this week! Did you have a good week? And did you read or watch anything exciting? Let me know in the comments!
