It’s been two weeks since my last Down the TBR Hole post and unfortunately I can’t say that I haven’t added any books to my want to read shelf on Goodreads. So it’s clear that I still need to do these posts, haha.
Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!
It works like this:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
- Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!
Current “to-read” shelf: 839 (my last post ended at 832, so I didn’t do really bad, but I didn’t do really good either…)
Mexican Gothic – Silvia Moreon-Garcia
Mexican Gothic is a book I’m still really looking forward to. I’ve been liking the darker reads lately and have heard amazing ones about this book. I have the paperback on my shelf, so definitely keeping this around.

Level Grind – Annie Bellet
Isabelle and I actually go to meet Annie Bellet almost two years ago at Dutch Comic Con. We both weren’t familiar with this author, but hearing her talk about this series at an interview got us curious. So I have this one signed. I started reading it, but got distracted and need to get back to it.
Keep
Hood – Jenny Elder Moke
I haven’t read my Robin Hood retellings, but was intrigued when I saw this one. Not many people I know have talked about it and I Don’t own it yet. For now I’ll remove this one from my list. I can always come back around.

Christmas in the City – Various Authors
As a lot of people that follow the blog probably know I’m a big fan of anything Christmas. Christmas in the City is a bundle of novellas for different stories already out there. I haven’t read a few of the actual books, so I need to do that before reading this one.

The Girl in the Stars – Mark Lawrence
This is an author I’ve never read anything by. My boyfriend read a trilogy and enjoyed it. The Girl in the Stars was actually a book I got in an Illumicrate box and love how pretty it is. I’ll eventually get to it, haha.
Keep
Crowded: Vol. 1 – Christopher Sebela
Okay, the first book, well graphic novel, this week that I don’t remember adding. Crowded doesn’t sound bad, but I’m not sure it’s for me. So for now I’ll remove it from my shelf.

The Bedroom Experiment – Kendall Ryan
I’ve actually read all but one book in this series that are now available. Sports romance is a lot of fun and Kendall Ryan creates characters you can’t help but love. The Bedroom Experiment is less than 300 pages, so it shouldn’t take me long to read.
Keep
One Last Stop – Casey McQuiston
It’s funny seeing this one on hear, because I’m actually reading this one now. Except I’m reading the paperback, but I have the hardcover on my shelf. One Last Stop is one of my most anticipated releases this year and I’m enjoying it so far.
Remove
The World Between Blinks – Amie Kaufman & Ryan Graudin
Middle grade is a genre I’m starting to love more and more. The World Between Blinks sounds like a story I’ll love and just look at this amazing cover. I have the audiobook ready for me to listen to soon.
Keep
10 Truths and a Dare – Ashley Elston
10 Blind Dates was a book I loved when it released a couple of years ago and I’ve been waiting for this companion book since. I honestly think this sounds like a perfect summer read, so I should make it a priority in the near future. Even though I say this about a lot of books, haha.

Removal Percentage: 40%
Current “to-read” shelf: 835
So I actually removed more books than I expected I would this week. What do you think of my choices? If you’ve read any of these also let me know what I should read first. I’d love to hear from you!
I’m hoping to pick up One Last Stop this week. I’ve just heard so much about it!
