Royal Update #79

We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

Once again I don’t have much to mention here, haha. Things are slowly opening again which is a nice thing! I’m still building up my hours at work, but I’ll be doing three days again this week. Just to see how it goes, because my hand has been feeling pretty good.

This week didn’t end too well, because Thursday I ended up with a stomach bug. I haven’t been sick in over a year and I forgot how awful it can make you feel! Then it spread through the house, so the weekend has been pretty boring. Hopefully a bit back to normal this week!

Since my last Royal Update I’ve only added four new ARCs to my Kindle. I’ve been pretty good, haha.

Since my last Royal Update I’ve finished the following books: A Reaper at the Gates, Mirrorland, Crazy Rich Asians, Again Again, Jay’s Gay Agenda, Shark Summer, Shipped, The Space Between Worlds, A Circle of Crows, and The Bone Thief.

At the moment I’m currently reading: King of Scars, A Sky Beyond the Storm, Malamander and Six Stories.

This next week I plan on reading Blood Like Magic, Eat Your Heart Out, Rule of Wolves, Charming and the Cherry Blossom, and The Dark of You.

There are two pieces of bookish news I have to share with you this week! The first one is cover reveal for Mr. Wrong Number by Lynn Painter. I recently read and loved her YA rom-com Better Than the Movies and now she’s giving us an adult rom-com next year! I can’t wait to read it.

Also, the cover for Vicotria Schwab’s next book Gallant has been released. The cover is really cool and the book is described as The Secret Garden meets Crimson Peak.

Between it being pretty warm out and me being sick I didn’t go anywhere really. The only things I’ve bought are new pillows for my bed and a new agenda. I’ll take a picture of that for my next Royal Update.

Of course I’ve kept up with watching Loki and I’m really enjoying this show. I’m curious to see where it goes, but I also don’t want it to end. I also watched the first episode of the second season of Love, Victor. Disney+ is only giving us an episode a week, so I can finally watch the second one.

Last time I told you what I was watching I had just watched The Kissing Booth. Last weekend I watched The Kissing Booth 2. These are definitely feelgood movies and I’m looking forward to the third one coming in August.

Home Free just released a new album and I’ve only listened to it once so far. Being home this past week hasn’t really had me listening to music much.

So my last two weeks haven’t been really exciting, haha. How have you been? Read anything interesting? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
